Liverpool are set to beat Manchester United to the signing of Salzburg midfielder Takumi Minamino in January.
The Reds are confident of landing the Japan international after discovering a £7.25m ($9.6m) clause in the 24-year-old’s contract.

German Koch won’t bid for FIFA post out of respect for French rival

German football federation (DFB), vice-president Rainer Koch, on Thursday said he would not seek a place on the council of the ruling body FIFA because French federation boss, Noel Le- Graet is bidding as well.
