15,000-seater stadium ready for Anthony Joshua vs Ruiz Jr rematch

MATCHROOM have released new images inside the 15,000-seater stadium that is set to host Anthony Joshua’s rematch with Andy Ruiz Jr.
The two heavyweight giants step back into the ring on December 7 in a Saudi Arabia showdown dubbed the Clash on the Dunes.
AJ, who lost his four title belts to the Mexican in that extraordinary bout back in June, landed in the Arab country on Sunday.
And he has already visited the newly built stadium in Diriyah which is now ready to host the bout that could decide the Brit’s fate.

Speaker, Oba Elegushi, others attend Temple Jam Basketball tournament finale

Over a thousand spectators crammed into the indoor hall of the Teslim Balogun Stadium on Sunday, 24th November, 2019, to watch the grand finale of the debut Temple Jam Basketball tournament, which saw the Gidi Giants lift the trophy after defeating Gombe Bulls 58-51 in a tense and pulsating affair.
The finale was opened by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Femi Gbajabiamila, who was just one of a host of many special guests which includes Oba Saheed Elegushi, Daddy Showkey, Sound Sultan, Jeff Akoh, Mimi Onalaja, Mama Tobi, amongst others.

Juventus 1-0 Atletico Madrid: Dybala stunner secures top spot

Paulo Dybala scored a wonderful free-kick to earn Juventus a 1-0 home win over Atletico Madrid that secured top spot in Group D of the Champions League.
Atletico, knocked out by Juventus last season, had the better of the first half but moments before the interval Dybala whipped a superb set-piece in from a narrow-angle to open the scoring.
Although Joao Felix’s introduction from the bench improved Atletico, it was Juve substitute Federico Bernardeschi who went closest to the game’s second goal when he hit the post on Tuesday.

Real Madrid into Champions League last 16 after Brugge held

Real Madrid qualified for the last 16 of the Champions League before taking to the field on Tuesday after Group A rivals Club Brugge drew 1-1 with Galatasaray in Istanbul.
The Belgian side needed to win in their early kick-off in Turkey to maintain any chance of qualifying ahead of Madrid, but they were on the back foot after Adem Buyuk gave Galatasaray an early lead.
The visitors did equalise in the second minute of added time via a fine individual effort by Krepin Diatta, but the draw still suited the 13-time European champions, with Brugge five points behind them while having just one game left to play.

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp says he has no concerns about Mohamed Salah’s fitness ahead of their Champions League clash with Napoli.
Salah was an unused substitute in the 2-1 win at Crystal Palace on Saturday after missing training with an ankle problem.
“Mo Salah looks really good,” Klopp said at his pre-match press conference on Tuesday. “I’m not worried about it.”
