‘Karate has helped me’ – Guendouzi reveals martial arts effect in career

Arsenal’s Matteo Guendouzi has claimed to participate in karate as a youngster has helped to improve his football skills.
The 20-year-old’s father is a karate instructor and in a recent interview, the midfielder revealed the skills he learnt from the sport have given him a ‘warrior-like mentality’ on the pitch.

Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr has stated home-based players were omitted from his latest selection for the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying matches because they are not fit enough.
The Super Eagles will host Benin for their Group L opening game at Godswill Akpabio Stadium on Wednesday with only Enyimba defender Ifeanyi Anaemena making Rohr’s 23-man squad after replacing Bryan Idowu.

Brazil star Willian has called for “proper sanctions” to be imposed upon Dynamo Kiev after former Shakhtar Donetsk team-mate Taison was targeted with racial abuse by opposition supporters in Sunday’s derby encounter.

Two models in the United States were banned indefinitely from all Major League Baseball events for flashing their breasts at Houston Astros pitcher Gerrit Cole.
Julia Rose and Lauren Summer, who are well-known Instagrammers, performed the act in a bid distract the pitcher, who left the mound as a result, and play was briefly paused.
