eNaira App Removed From Google Play Store After Series Of Complaints, Poor Rating

The recently launched eNaira Wallet application has been removed from Google Play Store barely 36 hours after it was launched by the Central Bank of Nigeria, SaharaReporters has gathered.

However, the app is currently available on the Apple app store with 2.6 over 5 ratings.

The digital currency has two applications, which are eNaira speed wallet and eNaira merchant wallet.

On Monday, the two apps were rolled out on the Google play store and the Apple store.

The eNaira was developed by the fintech company, Bitt, which was also responsible for the creation of CBDC in some East Caribbean countries.

At the launch on Monday, the Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Godwin Emefiele, boasted that 500 million eNaira ($1.21 million) has already been minted.

Meanwhile, a notice on the eNaira website explained how the currency and the wallet would work.

It read: “Get Ready With Your Accurate BVN Data For Your Hitch-Free Enrolment.

“To sign-up on the eNaira speed wallet, you would be required to input the following details exactly as captured during your BVN enrollment.

“First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, State of Origin, and Email.

“Your banks are waiting to assist you in validating and updating your BVN details to ensure seamless enrolment to the eNaira platform.”

However, negative reactions have trailed the launch of the app as many users complained of several issues, ranging from the inability to link their Bank Verification number, to getting a verification email.

Checks by SaharaReporters as of Wednesday afternoon showed that the app had only gained 1.9 stars out of 5 stars preview.
Also, in the review section, many Nigerians expressed their displeasure.

A user, Moyosore Fagbemigun, despite giving four stars, wrote: ”After sign up, I did not get the verification email in my BVN linked email. I have checked the spam folder and nothing yet. Easy registration process.”

Another user, Oscar Alexander, who gave it one star rating, noted, “I tried registering the first time. Told me there was no email attached to my BVN. I tried my other bank account. It told me an invalid account number. Lol. Now it says too many attempts with the same BVN. What a joke!”

“Every single attempt to get registered on the platform seems futile. It kept giving a prompt invalid BVN whereas my BVN is valid,” another user had said before the app was taken down.

SaharaReporters observed that majority of the users gave the app one star. It is not clear whether the app was removed due to the poor rating it suffered or if the CBN had done that itself.

The CBN Governor, Godwin Emefiele, in a conference at the beginning of the month, promised that the country would start digital Naira currency.

Emefiele said the eNaira would operate as a wallet through which customers could hold existing funds in their bank accounts, and that this would accelerate financial inclusion and enable cheaper and faster remittance inflows.

Panic As Bitcoin Crashes, Swallows Millions Of Pounds In Cryptocurrency Markets

File photo used to illustrate story.

Bitcoin’s price has crashed yet again, wiping hundreds of millions of pounds from cryptocurrency markets and sending traders into a huge panic. The world’s most popular cryptocurrency plummeted below $59,000 following the “flash crash”.

File photo used to illustrate story.

This is a huge drop of more than $5,000 from the levels it was trading at just a few days ago.It comes a week after the cryptocurrency hit a record-high price of $67,000. Bitcoin’s price drop has also had a damaging impact on a number of other cryptocurrencies, including Ethereum, Binance Coin, Cardano, Solana and Ripple which have also seen their value fall.According to Daily Trust, the price of Ethereum has slumped nearly six percent to under $4 over the past 24 hours, according to the latest data from CoinDesk.Cardano’s value has plummeted almost nine percent in the same period to les than $2, while Solana has fallen 8.05 percent to $190.Wednesday’s crash is in part driven by long-term Bitcoin holders selling at a high price in order to make a significant profit. This is something that frequently happens when there has been a spike in the price of cryptocurrencies. But this latest drop in value will also likely persuade a wave of new buyers to invest in Bitcoin, temped by the sudden dip in price.According to analysts, the drop was long expected and the price could soon jump beyond $60,000 again before too long.Cryptocurrency prices have surged this year, with Bitcoin alone jumping almost 400 percent in value over the past 12 months.Earlier this year, experts warned cryptocurrencies remain concentrated among a small number of holders. At the end of last year (2020), the 10,000 biggest Bitcoin holders accounted for more than a quarter (27 percent) of the total 18.6 million coins in circulation.

Kano Government Shuts Down Hospital Over Death Cases

The Kano State Government has shut down a private health facility in the state over cases of two deaths recorded in the hospital within the last six months.According to Daily Trust, the health facility, Green-Olives Hospital, situated at Sabon Titi, Tal’udu Gadon Kaya in Gwale Local Government Area was shut down by the Private Health Institutions Management Agency (PHIMA) over a report received from a committee of citizens over the death of two patients at the facility.

The Executive Secretary of PHIMA, Dr Usman Tijjani Aliyu, who announced the closure of the facility in a statement, said the agency investigated the cases thoroughly which revealed a lot of misconduct and mismanagement in terms of services rendered to patients in the facility.According to the statement, “The surgeon serves as the Anaesthetic nurse, perioperative nurse and assistant surgeon as well, hence he alone does the four jobs during surgery, and this is grossly unethical by all standards.“Consent forms were not signed before surgery, patients were not adequately prepared before surgery and no intraoperative monitoring of patients during surgery,” the statement added.Dr Adamu appealed to residents to report such cases of malpractices wherever in Kano for prompt action. He also assured that the culprit would be dealt with in accordance with the guidelines of the agency, adding that the agency would continue to collaborate with people of Kano State and other civil organisations to fight quackery and patients’ mismanagement in the private health sector across the state.

E2%80%94-gombe Repentant Boko Haram Fighters Should Have A Faculty In Nigerian Army University — Gombe Governor

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya

Governor Muhammadu Yahaya of Gombe State says the De-radicalisation, Rehabilitation and Reintegration Camp for repentant Boko Haram members located at Kwami Local Government Area of the state should be relocated to the Nigerian Army University in Biu.Yahaya stated this while receiving the General Officer Commanding, 3 Division, also known as Operation Safe Heaven, Maj Gen Ibrahim Ali, at the Government House on Tuesday.

Gombe State Governor Inuwa Yahaya

He said despite providing shelter for the Federal Government’s initiative, the camp had only hosted non-indigenes adding that the state should not be made to suffer for hosting such facility. The camp, which has rehabilitated hundreds of repentant Boko Haram members mainly from other parts of the North-East, in a facility built by the state government for the National Youth Service Corps as orientation camp.Yahaya said, “Gombe has been hosting the de-radicalisation camp for the past six years.“It was meant to be a temporary arrangement for six months, but now, it has turned to be a permanent feature and the security authorities are even looking for expansion.“Since the establishment of that outfit, not even one person from Gombe has been taken to for de-radicalisation or rehabilitation. We are just playing host, trying to help our neighbours. As a result, we should not be made to suffer for hosting such a facility.“Otherwise, if you like take it to the military university at Biu, and make it a faculty, that is not our problem. There is the need for us to have a symbiotic relationship. If you scratch our back while we scratch yours; that is the only way we can move forward.”Yahaya lamented how due to the security challenges, getting approval for the movement of urea which is used for manufacturing fertiliser to Gombe, has been difficult, adding that hunger might worsen the problems being faced by the people.“Close to 80% of our people are peasant farmers. Recently, despite approval from defence headquarters, we were not able to bring urea because it is believed that it is being used to produce explosives and that some misguided people are using it.“But since 2015, there was never an issue again of explosives in Gombe. If you don’t allow people to operate on the farm, there will be no security and there will be no food. Double jeopardy is the situation now,” the governor said.SaharaReporters had reported in September, the Acting General Officer Commanding (GOC), 7 Division, Abdulwahab Eyitayo, revealed that more than 8,000 Boko Haram terrorists had so far surrendered to the troops of the Nigerian Army.According to him, the terrorists surrendered from their enclaves in Sambisa Forest, as well as other hideouts. He said the overwhelming firepower of the troops was responsible for the surrender of the repentant terrorists.

E2%80%99s Anti-graft Agency, EFCC Displays 51,933 Pages Of Suspicious Contents On Singer, Naira Marley’s iPhone

The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission on Wednesday, displayed before a Federal High Court in Lagos, a virtual projection of a Compact Disc with 51,933 pages analysis of the iPhone of popular Nigerian singer, Azeez Fashola aka Naira Marley. The EFCC projected the virtual, through its second witness, Mr Augustine Anosike, a forensic analyst.

Anosike was still leading pieces of evidence in the trial of the defendant.Naira Marley is currently facing eleven counts bordering on conspiracy, possession of counterfeit credit cards, and fraud. The Nigerian singer was charged by anti-graft agency on May 14, 2019.He was however consequently, arraigned on May 20, 2019, before Justice Nicholas Oweibo.Naira Marley had pleaded not guilty to all the charges levelled against him.He was then granted bail accordingly in the sum of two million naira, with two sureties in like sum.The trial had since commenced in the case and the second prosecution witness who began his testimony shortly before the lockdown in 2020 following the outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic, continued his evidence on Wednesday. The witness, who resumed his testimony on Tuesday, also concluded his evidence after the virtual display. The Prosecution Counsel, Rotimi Oyedepo, had told the court during the last sitting that the prosecution only printed out hard copies of relevant portions of the exhibit, which it considered key to its case.He had informed the court that a full version of the total analysis was contained in a compact disc. The printed copies of the exhibit is however, labelled ‘exhibit F’ while the CD containing full analysis is ‘exhibit F1’.Punch reports that the court had granted prosecution leave to display the CD in a projector, in order to discharge its burden of proof as required by law. Also on the last adjourned date, the witness had narrated, how different text messages and chats containing credit card details, were exchanged between the Naira Marley and another recipient identified as Yadd.At the resumption of the trial on Wednesday, the witness reiterated again portions of his earlier testimonies of October 26.He also indicated the visual spots of those testimonies, on the screen of the projected CD.For instance, the witness showed visual displays of the credit card numbers, chats, as well as incoming and outgoing short message services, which were analysed from the defendant’s iPhone. The witness typically identified the “message trafficking” between the numbers +447426343432 and +447548061528.On the whole, he told the court that the CD contained a total of 51,933 pages of the analysis conducted on the defendant device. After the CD was displayed for about 45 minutes, the prosecutor then asked the witness to confirm if exhibits A and D, were vital elements of his analysis, and he replied in the affirmative. But the defence counsel, Olalekan Ojo (SAN), during a cross-examination, first sought leave of court to apply for a variation of its order and prayed the court to take custody of the iPhone of the defendant who had been in the custody of the prosecution. He stated that the Federal High Court is well capable of keeping the exhibits in its custody, adding that it would also create ease for the defence to apply for the exhibits if needed. The court therefore, noted the requests. The defence asked, “As an experienced operative, are you aware that it is possible for a person other than the owner of a phone to have access to the use of that phone?”The witness replied, “That will only be possible where the owner grants access.”When the witness was asked who supplied him with the password to the iPhone, he told the court that the defendant provided the password to the investigating operatives who consequently, transmitted the same to him for his analysis. The EFCC had alleged that Naira Marley and his accomplices conspired to use different Access Bank ATM cards to defraud their victims. It also alleged that the defendant used a bank credit card issued to another person, in a bid to obtain fraudulent financial gains. The EFCC also said that the defendant possessed counterfeit credit cards belonging to different people, with intent to defraud which amounted to theft. The alleged offence contravenes the provisions of sections 1 23 (1) (b), 27 (1) and 33(9) of Cyber Crime (Prohibition) Prevention Act, 2015.

Gunmen Abduct Eight Persons In Ekiti, Demand N50million Ransom

No fewer than eight persons were kidnapped by gunmen on Tuesday at Itapaji in the Ikole Local Government Area of Ekiti State, Daily Post reports. The incident happened on the heels of abduction of four persons by gunmen at Ayebode, a week ago in the same council area.

The abductors were said to have contacted the family early on Wednesday and demanded the sum of N50million as ransom. An eyewitness told journalists in Ado Ekiti, on Wednesday, that the gunmen had besieged a house located in the town around 9.30pm, shooting sporadically into the air and afterwards made away with eight occupants of the building. The gunshots that lasted for over one hour were said to have terrified the residents of the community. The source said the owner of the building was preparing for his mother’s burial and the preparations were said to have been on top gear when the assailants struck.“The men numbering seven came around 9.30pm with guns and surrounded the building. They fired gunshots sporadically.“As the occupants of the house were coming out, they were grabbed and made to lie face down. They were later taken away into the bush. They were 14 initially, but six of them escaped into the bush.”He added further, “Earlier today (Wednesday), one of the family members received a call from the abductors demanding for a ransom of N50million”, he said. The source added that the absence of police stations in Itapaji -Ayebode and Irele-Oke Ako axis was responsible for the worsening cases of kidnapping in the area, saying the nearest police station was in Ikole Ekiti, which was over 40 minutes’ drive to the troubled areas. When contacted, the Police Public Relations Officer, Ekiti Command, Sunday Abutu, confirmed the incident.Abutu said, “The command is working on that. Already, a special police operatives as well as the JTF have been deployed in that axis to ensure they rescue the victims and for possible arrest of the culprits.”

E2%80%99ll-hold-even-if-nnamdi-kanu-isn%E2%80%99t-released-%E2%80%93-asari-dokubo-led-biafran Anambra Election’ll Hold Even If Nnamdi Kanu Isn’t Released – Asari Dokubo-led Biafran Group Warns IPOB

The de facto customary government of Biafra led by Mujahid Asari Dokubo says the November 6, 2021 governorship election in Anambra State will hold as scheduled by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).The Head of Information and Communication, Uche Okafor-Mefor, disclosed this in a statement urging the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) not to deny the people of the state from voting.

IPOB had declared a one week sit-at-home protest across the South-East states starting from November 5, the eve of Anambra governorship election. The group said the protest was aimed at prevailing on the Nigerian government to release Nnamdi Kanu.It vowed that the protest would go on as planned if Kanu was not released before November 4.Kanu is facing trial on a seven-count amended charge bordering on treason and terrorism. The Nigerian government had blamed the IPOB leader for the murder of Dr. Chike Akunyili, the husband of a former Director-General of the National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control, late Prof. Dora Akunyili.A Presidential committee set up by the President had also accused Kanu of being responsible for the murder of a former presidential aide, Ahmad Gulak, and over 184 others in the South-East.Reacting, the De facto Biafra Customary Government spokesperson said the sit-at-home order was ‘criminal’.He said, “The government of Biafra hereby declares as follows; the hydra-headed government believes absolutely in the sanctity of human life – the protection of lives in the Biafran territory – and therefore condemns in no uncertain terms the ongoing wanton destruction of lives and properties in Biafraland by both state and non-state actors irrespective of their motives.“That the De Facto Customary Government of Biafra extols the democratic ethos for which Biafrans are known and as such declares support for the people of Biafra to exercise their democratic rights to vote and be voted for in Biafraland in the current and future elections.“That in line with this pronouncement, the De Facto Customary Government of Biafra affirms that elections in Anambra State and elsewhere in Biafraland must hold by the extant laws; that any boycott of the Anambra elections and others elsewhere remains fruitless, counterproductive and would be incapable of invalidating the electoral process because a winner must emerge eventually by the circumstances strongly urged to go out and vote for the preferred candidates of their choices.“That the continued violent campaign for the boycott of elections and other ancillary unethical conducts which are inimical to the advancement of the Biafran cause are subsequently frowned at and as such must be discouraged forthwith.“That the proponents of this self-annihilating strategy must be reminded that in reality, the best way to be in control of political power is by engaging and by going through the democratic process itself or they will otherwise and in effect be aiding and abating the same Fulani-controlled Nigerian state to all the more heavily militarise Biafraland, impose a state of emergency, kill more Biafrans, ultimately rig the elections and fraudulently install their stooges.”

E2%80%93-nigerian-government-writes-london-based Buhari Disbanded SARS As Part Of Police Reforms – Nigerian Government Writes London-based Magazine, The Economist, Over Criticisms

The Nigerian High Commissioner to the United Kingdom, Ambassador Sarafa Tunji Isola, has written to the London-based magazine, The Economist, over its recent publication condemning President Muhammadu Buhari’s regime for the security crises and economic mishap in Nigeria.SaharaReporters had published that The Economist had few days ago, berated the Nigerian Army, accusing it of selling equipment to the insurgents terrorising Nigeria.

While describing the army as only strong on paper, the magazine also described Buhari-led administration as an inept and high-handed government that had also failed to tackle corruption. In a letter written to The Economist in response to a piece titled, “Insurgency, Secessionism and Banditry Threaten Nigeria”, the High Commissioner said the medium was selective in its research, saying that the issues confronting Nigeria have been long-standing and Buhari’s government is achieving phenomenal feats in combating them. The letter read in part, “The Economist is correct to point out the multiple security and governance challenges that Nigeria presently faces. But the picture that you present is selective and unfair to your readers. The decay of agencies and institutions has gathered momentum for decades. There is no quick or simple fix. It is unwise to pretend otherwise.”He reminded the organisation that President Buhari had been elected twice in national elections and was indeed making progress by working with international partners:“There has been progress. Nigeria works closely with partners in the Sahel region, Europe and the US on security and intelligence. It is not an accident that the leadership of militant groups is weaker than it has ever been. You highlight the need for police reform: this is a process that President Buhari’s administration has led, including the disbandment of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). We are already working with the UK and others on training and equipment,” he said. The High Commissioner described Nigeria’s robust COVID-19 response as well as the President’s battle to provide stable energy for the country as noteworthy.“Nigeria has led the region in a robust response to COVID-19 that has helped keep infection levels well below many parts of the world, while also helping to mitigate the economic shocks from the global downturn for the most vulnerable. President Buhari has also championed reforms to the energy sector, the cradle for corruption, in the teeth of fierce resistance from the old, business-as-usual brigade,” he added. He pointed out that progress being made by the administration in agriculture, creative arts and technology sectors among others does not sit well with corrupt-minded individuals in the country.“Nigeria is far from being the only country that faces the challenge of trying to deliver overdue change in a political culture that tilts towards special interests that are often selfish and short-term. Optimism in sectors as diverse as agriculture, creative arts and technology point to the opportunities that are already being realised. It will be a long haul: a corrupt cabal will say we are not doing enough: what they mean is that we have already done too much, in terms ending the impunity enjoyed by the few and helping to enfranchise the many,” he stated.

Ken Saro-Wiwa And Ogoni Eight V. Fulani Butchers By Bayo Oluwasanmi

The murder of Ken Saro-Wiwa and eight Ogoni environmental activists in 1995 is a gentle reminder that the greatest threat to a safe, orderly, peaceful, democratic, and prosperous Nigeria are the Fulani Butchers – past and present rulers of Nigeria.
Ken Saro-Wiwa and Ogoni eight environmental activists were executed by the gap-tooth dictator Sanni Abacha for waging a non-violent campaign against the Royal Dutch Shell Company and the Nigerian government over pollution, economic injustices, and destruction of life of Ogoni people.
Ibrahim Agboola Gambari, Chief of Staff to Buhari, Hameed Ibrahim Ali, Comptroller of the Nigerian Customs Service, President of the Nigerian Bar Association, Joseph Daudu, and Justice Ibrahim    Auta, retired Chief Judge of Nigeria were accomplices in the murder of Saro-Wiwa and the eight Ogoni.
The records of northern politicians who served as presidents or military heads of state and those Fulani who served in high visibility positions, are by and large, evil people. Why is it that presidents of northern extraction are bigots, tyrants, dictators, murderers? Why is it that they despise rule of law, freedom, fairness, justice? Why are they so crude, barbaric, demonic, blood thirsty, and so alien to democracy? Why do they want to make all Nigerians Muslims? Though the Fulanis have nowhere to claim as their home or origin, they are determined to make Nigeria a Fulani country. Why? What the hell is wrong with these people?

Any time a northerner is president, our democracy is destroyed by replacing it with anarchy. They unleash terror on Nigerians. They exhibit brute dominance. They employ terrorism to achieve their Fulani political and religious agendas. The Butcher Sanni Abacha killed Ken Saro-Wiwa and the eight Ogoni activists. The aged despot Ibrahim Babangida killed Dele Giwa, one of our best and brightest investigative journalists. Babangida annulled the freest and fairest election won by MKO Abiola. Abiola was eventually murdered by Babangida. And today, Muhammadu Buhari, The Butcher of Aso Rock, continues in the tyrannical tradition of his despotic predecessors. What’s wrong with these Fulanis?
These Fulanis are skilled in deception and manipulation. They are selfish and inconsiderate with no qualms hurting or killing other ethnic groups for their selfish political motives. Is government not supposed to punish evildoers? Is government not expected to ensure and guard freedom and liberty of citizens? Instead, the Fulani administrations from independence to date protects those who do evil and punishes those who do good. It is obvious that Buhari government has designed a culture that protects criminals, terrorists, and kills those who fight to protect their own people.
We civilized Yorubas cannot continue to live with Fulani Butchers. There’s higher meaning and purpose for our lives than to be fighting cows, terrorists, and tyrants. We have the right to choose where we want to live and how we want to be governed. We have the right to nurture and preserve our culture, traditions, and values. We cannot live a full and fulfilling life under a repressive and blood thirsty Fulani Butchers. Elections are not the answer. We cannot hold any election with the fraudulent 1999 Constitution. There will be no elections in 2023 without a referendum based on one simple question: Do we (Yorubas and others fighting for self-determination) want to be part of Nigeria or not? This is the question that will determine the corporate existence of Nigeria.

Nigerian, Adamu, Gabonese Convicted Of Drug Trafficking Charges In US

File photo used to illustrate story.

A Nigerian national, Jibril Adamu, and one other, Jean-Claude Okongo Landji, has been convicted for conspiring to use a United States-registered aircraft to fly tons of cocaine between South America, Africa and Europe. This was announced by Damian Williams, the United States Attorney for the Southern District of New York, and Wendy C. Woolcock, Special Agent in Charge of the Special Operations Division of the US Drug Enforcement Administration (“DEA”) on Tuesday.

File photo used to illustrate story.

According to them via a press release from the United States Attorney’s Office, a jury returned guilty verdicts on Monday against Landji and Adamu on the charge of conspiring to traffic five kilograms and more of cocaine on board an aircraft owned by a United States citizen and registered in the United States. The US District Judge, Paul G. Gardephe, presided over the two-week trial.Williams said, “As a jury found, Jean-Claude Okongo Landji and Jibril Adamu sought to exploit their abilities as pilots and use Landji’s private jet to smuggle multi-ton loads of cocaine from South America to West Africa and on to Europe and elsewhere. “Presuming they would be able to make regular runs to Europe, figuratively flying under the radar, Landji and Adamu were instead arrested in Croatia at the end of an initial test flight.  Now they await sentencing for their crime.”As reflected in the indictment, public filings, and the evidence presented at trial:Beginning in or about October 2017, Landji Adamu, and others agreed to use a United States-registered Gulfstream G2 private jet owned by Landji, a United States citizen, to distribute multi-ton quantities of cocaine in South America, Africa, Europe, and elsewhere.Landji and Adamu, who are both pilots, planned to use the G2 and other aircraft to fly unregistered and untraceable “black flights” with multi-thousand kilogram loads of cocaine from South America to West Africa to be unloaded at clandestine airstrips, including landing sites in the Sahara desert.”After the cocaine was off-loaded in Africa, Landji and Adamu planned to use Landji’s aviation business, incorporated in the state of Georgia, as cover for cocaine smuggling flights to Europe and elsewhere. “For example, Landji agreed to use his company to arrange seemingly legitimate passenger “VIP” flights to Europe for which Adamu would serve as a pilot while concealing multi-ton quantities of cocaine hidden on board for further distribution in European countries.”On or about October 30, 2018, the two defendants conducted a test shipment and flew the G2 from Mali to Croatia with one kilogram of cocaine on board. They expected that their successful provision of the one-kilogram cocaine sample to clients in Europe would pave the way for providing twice-monthly shipments of cocaine worth as much as $40 million each in the European market. However, members of the Croatian National Police investigating Landji and Adamu in coordination with the DEA searched the G2 following their arrival in Croatia, recovered the kilogram of cocaine, and arrested Landji and Adamu.  Both defendants were later extradited to the United States. The USAO further stated that, “Landji, 58, of the United States and Gabon, and Adamu, 58, of Nigeria, were convicted of one count of conspiring to distribute and possess with intent to distribute cocaine with a US citizen on board any aircraft, and on board an aircraft owned by a US citizen or registered in the US, which carries a mandatory minimum sentence of 10 years in prison and a maximum sentence of life in prison. “The statutory minimum and maximum sentences in this case are prescribed by Congress and are provided here for informational purposes only, as any sentencing of the defendants will be determined by Judge Gardephe.”This case is being handled by the Office’s Terrorism and International Narcotics Unit.  Assistant US Attorneys Elinor L. Tarlow and Matthew J.C. Hellman are in charge of the prosecution.
