IPOB Warns S’East Govs Against Compiling ESN Operatives’ Names For Incarceration

The Indigenous People of Biafra has raised the alarm that South-East Governors, the apex Igbo socio-cultural organisation, Ohanaeze Ndigbo, and others were compiling the names of its members and those of Eastern Security Network to hand over to the Federal Government for incarceration.
The secessionist group noted that the move was suggested to the leaders of the South-East geopolitical zone, to weaken its resolve and that of the ESN from flushing the Fulani herdsmen out of the zone.

The group further observed that since the formation of the ESN, efforts to flush out Fulani herders out of the zone had intensified, regretting, however, that politicians, local authorities and others were sabotaging the efforts.
The group stated this in a statement signed by its Director of Media and Publicity, Emma Powerful.
The statement read in part, “It has come to the attention of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), ably led by our great and indomitable leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, that South-East Governors, Ohaneze Ndigbo led by George Obiozor, treacherous traditional rulers and President Generals of some communities are secretly compiling names of suspected IPOB members and ESN operatives across Biafraland. This wicked move was suggested by the Nigeria Government and her security operatives with the hope to weaken IPOB and ESN, making every effort to flush Fulani terrorist herders out of our land.
“Our efforts to stop Fulani terrorist herdsmen in the East have indisputably intensified since the formation of ESN but regrettably, the politicians and government officials including local authorities in some communities in South-East are sabotaging these efforts. They have bargained with Nigerian security agencies to abduct anybody suspected to be an IPOB member or supporter.
“IPOB intelligence unit gathered that these enemies within and without had perfected arrangements to abduct our people and put them incommunicado in the security dungeons in unknown locations. IPOB is, therefore, issuing a stern warning to these Miyetti Allah slaves to be careful because they must answer for their actions.
“We advise Nigeria government and her partners in crime in the zone to desist from this evil plan because it will backfire. We are aware of their secret file, but we are not going back until Biafra is finally achieved.
“Our intelligence further revealed that they took this decision to launch this joint military operation to quench and permanently silence what they termed as IPOB and ESN menace in the zone. Unfortunately, our so-called leaders could not see or observe how Fulani terrorist herdsmen were raping and murdering our mothers, wives and sisters in the farms across the Biafra territory.”

Aishatu Yakubu, the embattled owner of the Kaduna State-based restaurant, which the state government demolished for allegedly hosting a s** party, has cried out for help.
The owner of the facility, known as Asher Kings and Queen Restaurant, asked good spirited Nigerians to come to her aid for help due to hunger and starvation.

Yakubu insisted that she knew nothing about the allegation which led to the demolition of her restaurant business premises, the only means of livelihood for herself and her three children.
In December 2020, Aisha’s restaurant was demolished by the state government over an alleged plan to organize a s** party, a notice posted on social media by a boy who later claimed ignorance.
In a video obtained by SaharaReporters on Saturday, Yakubu lamented that she had put everything into her demolished restaurant business as a single parent of three.
The woman added that she lacked the resources and means to prosecute the state government for defamation of character and destruction of her restaurant business and all the properties.

Rauf Aregbesola

The Nigerian Community in Mexico has decried the failure of the Nigerian Embassy in the country to renew their passports three years after the embassy collected their data.
Some of the affected Nigerians, who spoke to SaharaReporters, noted that their passports had expired. They could not visit other countries because of the over three-year delay in renewal.

Rauf Aregbesola

They added that the authorities seemed not to be bothered by the issue, which had restricted the life and businesses of many of them.
In a save-our-soul request, the Nigerians in Mexico lamented that many of them were not planning to visit Nigeria yet and should therefore have their passports renewed in the country.
“We need passport renewal, and we have not got anything after over three years of putting down our names with the Embassy of Nigeria in Mexico. Our passports have expired and we can’t visit other countries because we do not have valid passports except when we visit Nigeria,” one of the Nigerians told SaharaReporters.
“Many of us do not plan to visit Nigeria now. Can you help publish this information? Can you help us bring this to the attention of the authorities in the country.”

Prince Philip’s coffin has been interred in the royal vault of St George’s Chapel in the United Kingdom.
It was placed on a catafalque on a marble slab and lowered into the vault by an electric motor.

iNews

The vault was created between 1804 and 1810 for George III, who died in 1820 and is one of three kings buried there. The other two are George IV and William IV.
Horns were played as his coffin was lowered down.
The Archbishop of Canterbury gave a blessing before the choir sang the national anthem, “God Save the Queen.”
The members of the royal family looked up as the choir sang while the queen bowed her head, NAN reports.
The 94-year-old monarch was then led out of the church by the archbishop and followed by her family members.
Prince William, her grandson, was seen glancing back at the vault as he left his pew.
In the funeral procession which departed Windsor Castle to the chapel was Queen Elizabeth II, who was driven in a car. It was her first appearance in public since the death of her husband.
Philip’s coffin had been draped with his standard and driven by a green military Land Rover Defender.
The children of Queen Elizabeth and Prince Philip – Prince Charles, Prince Andrew, Princess Anne and Prince Edward – walked behind the Land Rover.
Also in the procession were the Earl of Wessex, Prince Harry, Peter Phillips, Prince William, Vice Admiral Tim Lawrence, and the Earl of Snowdon.
Queen Elizabeth II followed behind in a car.
For the eight-minute procession, a gun was fired by the King’s Troop Royal Horse Artillery from the East Lawn of Windsor Castle.

Again, Hisbah Arrests Eight Women, Three Males For Eating During Ramadan In Kano

Kano Hisbah corps

The Sharia police officials of the Kano State Hisbah Board have arrested eight women and three men for eating during Ramadan.
They were arrested in a raid by Hisbah personnel at Tudun Murtala of Nassarawa Local Government and Sharada area of Kano Municipal, where they were found eating.

Kano Hisbah corps

The Acting Commandant General, Musa Kibiya, said that the board made the arrest after getting some information from the residents of the two areas at different times.
“The residents of the area feed us with information and when we went to Tudun Murtala, we found five women and three men eating in broad daylight.
“At Sharada, we were able to arrest three women.”
He added that what those people did is against the teaching of Islam.
But the arrested people denied committing what they were accused of, saying they have their reasons for that.
The girls said that they did not fast because they saw their period, a circumstance that disallows fast.
Dr Kibiya said that the board would investigate the matter to find out those with a genuine reason for not observing the fast.
He added that the board would continue with the raid on other places in the state to fish out those who don’t want to observe the fast.
Recall that on Thursday, Hisbah arrested some youths in the state for eating in the daytime during Ramadan. The officials arrested three males and eight females.
“We will investigate, and if they have compelling reasons, we will release them. However, those found wanting will be enlightened and even prosecuted if need be,” Dr. Kibiya had said.
He said a woman should not be seen eating in public during fasting, “for whatever reason,” adding that the board would arrest anyone found to be eating during the day.
“Fasting is compulsory for healthy, adult Muslims in the month of Ramadan except for the traveller, menstruating women or old people.”

NULGE To Occupy Homes Of Lawmakers Supporting Bill To Scrap LGAs

The Nigeria Union of Local Government Employees is planning a protest to occupy the country homes of all federal lawmakers in support of a bill calling for the scrapping of local government councils.
The union says all in support of the bill are enemies of Nigeria and democracy and insensitive to Nigerians’ plight and governance needs in rural areas.

The NULGE President, Ambali Olatunji, spoke in reaction to the bill before the House of Representatives seeking to abolish the third tier of government.
The bill is being sponsored by a House of Representatives member, Bob Solomon ( PDP- Rivers).
Olatunji said if the bill were not killed immediately, the workers would in the next few days stage a protest at the National Assembly, after which they would storm the country homes of all members of the parliament.
“Our existence is being threatened; we will not sit down and watch. There will be a national protest there at the National Assembly.
“They are no longer representing us; they are representing themselves. Bob Emmanuel, who benefited from the local government system, has now become so disillusioned that he wants the scheme scrapped.
“He is a member of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and that is why we have asked the party to call their son to order. Any person who attempts to kill the local government system is killing his own political future.
“No lawmaker, who is on the side of the masses, should join this destructive move. We shall fight them all,” he said.
The NULGE boss urged governors, who believed in the local governments and have conducted elections to speak out against this plan to destabilize a system that draws government closer to the people.

Teenager Stabs Friend To Death Over Phone In Adamawa

Treynae Campbell, 19, spent £19.99 on the 15-inch knife, similar to this, before handing it to the killer

A teenager has stabbed to death his 21-year-old friend said to have stolen his N55,000 mobile phone, police in Adamawa said.
The 18-year-old Abdulkarrm was arrested after he stabbed Ayuba Hassan in Mubi.

Treynae Campbell, 19, spent £19.99 on the 15-inch knife, similar to this, before handing it to the killer

According to Daily Trust, Abdulkarim told journalists that he and two other friends had gone home to bed after a failed attempt to steal jerry cans of petrol from a filling station in Mubi.
He said he realised his mobile phone was missing when he woke up at night, and his two friends told him only Ayuba visited the house while he was asleep.
When he confronted Ayuba the next day, an argument ensued, which degenerated into a heated argument.
Then the duo, accompanied by two of their friends, agreed to go to the riverside and fight.
Abdulkarim further stated that on their way to the riverside, Ayuba threw a stone at him, prompting him to pull out a knife and stab him twice in the hand and chest.
As soon as Ayuba collapsed and died, the suspect said he fled the murder scene, leaving his victim in a pool of blood.
The Police Public Relations Officer in Adamawa, DSP Sulaiman Nguroje, said the suspect would be charged to court as soon as the investigation was concluded.
