Etymology Of Hell Fire And Why We Should All Visit Someday By Banwo Olagokun

As a child I was told and believed  hell is a place God created for sinners to burn eternally. I was religiously blind and specifically Anglican foolish. Every religion came as a political conquest and business voyage, with lots of hybridized myths and fear of eternal punishment to scare people off being rebellious to colonial dogma.
The things all the foreign religion have in common are rape, looting, burning of our medical and history books, kidnapping our inventors, mavericks, geniuses,slaughtering Africans like animals for being traditional and refusing colonial dogmas, blackmailing our heritage and tradition as demonic, slave masters’ ancestors were called lords, prophets, healers and saviors while ours we labelled as satan, idol, magicians and demons.
The blackmail is so deep that the foreign religion enforcers tell their subjective followers that the believers of other religions will go to hell because their prophets and savior are not approved by the supreme God and it is only the one proposed by them n enforced with cruelty that is permissible and approved by God.

Apparently, a divide and rule tactics that will perpetually make people see themselves superior and spiritually privileged (grace of God ) while other non believers or adherents of other beliefs are regarded as inferior and and sentenced to eternal burning place.  in fact, it is considered an abomination to be their friends or get acquainted with them for any purpose, as they are regarded as unclean, filthy, unholy and evil, they are the chosen ones while others are lost and forbidden because they innocently followed their parent/ancestors traditions. In many cases, other opposing beliefs are outlawed, I have never seen any social political organization or movement as discriminatory and divisive like religions adopted by the political authorities of the day! Before the word hell fire got smuggled into the bible like several other non Hebrew words and doctrine; which always represent whatever the current political hegemony wants to infuse into the state approved religion to control the working class. Hellfire was Gehenna in Greek, which means  “Valley of Hinnom” in Hebrew, it was a grave site, dump site and valley of burnt offerings, which is now a beautiful ancient city in Jerusalem, south of mount zion.  Gehenna was used as a metaphor that represents destination of the wicked. It was never an unseen or spiritual location revealed by prophets of old but originally a grave and dump site.
The Kabbalah, the ancient Jewish tradition of mystical interpretation of the bible explains it as a “waiting room” (translated as an “entry way”) for all souls (not just the wicked ones meant to burn forever). The overwhelming majority of rabbinic thought maintains that people are not in Gehenna forever; the longest that one can be there is said to be twelve months!  But President James of England whose perversion and corruption is widely known, had to create different interpretation to scare Africans and sustain the global religiopolitical empire led by europeans but mostly, british via slavery and missionary when the exclusivity attached to Jesus as the only form of accepted pagan offering or human ritual in the world wasn’t working enough. They needed damning and dreadful eternal consequences to drive home their points with a relatable lexicon like HELL FIRE rather than “Gehenna” or “Valley of Hinnom” to establish their mind control and fearmongering tactics, a necessary propaganda with the political end of covering up the massacre of 250 Protestants burnt at the stake at the order of Queen Mary 1, hence the notorious nickname “Bloody Mary” during her short reign, consequently, it made the ruling class fall out of favor with the puritans and calvinists, whom were rebelling against the theocratic oppression of Anglican bishops, the political hierarchy and unjust benefits attached to their offices.  President James realized that to make african people subjective to their colonial/slavery dogmas, there must be a new interpretation of the sacred scrolls. It was used to control the citizenry, for the fear of hell is the beginning of African blind loyalty to western culture,paganism and slavery. From time immemorial, political Leaders always use religion to pacify the masses’ revolutionary anger, subjugate their rights and dissuade them from mass rebellion or protests.
Socialist revolutionary, theoretician and philosopher Karl Marx perfectly posit in the critique of Georg Wilhelm Friedrich Hegel’s philosophy of right – Religious suffering is, at one and the same time, the expression of real suffering and a protest against real suffering. Religion is the sigh of the oppressed creature, the heart of a heartless world, and the soul of soulless conditions. It is the opium of the people.The abolition of religion as the illusory happiness of the people is the demand for their real happiness. To call on them to give up their illusions about their condition is to call on them to give up a condition that requires illusions. The criticism of religion is, therefore, in embryo, the criticism of that vale of tears of which religion is the halo. Africans fervently clung to their beliefs even on the slave ship and in the slave camps administered by missionaries, until they were killed, publicly raped and made to believe in a burning furnace for activists, rebels or any dissent in the slave plantation or protectorate against orders of the so called spiritual book which was actually written by poets and writers approved by government of the day for the purpose of control of black man and foreigners.   Recently, president trump of the disunited state of America went to the front of the episcopal church in Washington, shoved the priest out of the way then posed for a picture with a bible, right after he ordered fierce and murderous military clampdown on protesters just to score some points with gullible religious conservatives.  We must also not forget how Ebora of Owu, ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo became Mathew studying Christian theology after several human rights violations like the massacre of innocent odi and zaki biam natives. Lawrence Ifeanyi ugwuanyi, the failed  governor of Enugu state needed just one mantra to sway the suffering people of Enugu : “Enugu is in the hands of God’. I spoke to over 500 electorates in the capital city before the last election. I queried why they want to give him a second chance, they pointed to multi million naira billboards screaming ‘Enugu is in the hand of God’. which is often interpreted as leaving governance for the creator, their infrastructural decay and economic hardship is spiritual and not the duty of their beloved gburugburu who always profess the same religion as majority of enugu state indigenes. There is no pr consultant in the world that would have proffered any better antidote than the religious opium served. I hope we haven’t forgotten the recent horrific but religious manipulation of dictator Buhari who met Ibrahim Yaqoub El Zakzaky at least three times In company of his beloved mini tyrant, kaduna state governor, el Rufai, before the presidential election in 2015,they grinned like a baby while taking pictures with him just to win the hearts of 12 million members of IMN ( Islamic movement of Nigeria ) led by the religious priest. Today el zakzaky is nothing but a common detainee languishing like every other random inmate in kaduna prison after four years of secret trial and detention in Buhari’s backyard in aso rock. I stand to be corrected.  Father Edeh, a popular but wicked catholic priest, the founder of the pilgrimage center of Eucharistic adoration also known as the pilgrimage center for peace and reconciliation, founder of the notorious Madonna university, where he flogs students and staff with horse whips for not hastily obeying his orders, some very unlucky ones like the #Madonna7 gets detained in prison at a finger wave and ensured their bail was not honored by prison officials after a judge granted the bail,the mother and family of one of the detainee Chijoke Nnamani was molested and chased away at the school gate, several protest letter and press statements later the draconian ruler priest of the holy ghost congregation succumbed to the outcry on social media, yet none of the religious leaders or organization could lend a voice to the unprecedented and shameful tyranny by an academic administrator. Majority of the working masses today, are passive and docile because the tenets of their religion says long suffering and hope in eternal reward in afterlife, they are admonished almost on daily basis, to make it their topmost priority rather than fighting or resisting oppression/slavery/injustice. In Fact many verses in the holy books admonished submission to oppressive authorities.  There are over thirty verses explicitly and literally supporting slavery and equate the obedience to slave masters as an act of piety which must imbibed by adherents, while some verses also expressly supports, corruption,killing of infants, incest, clamp down on protesters, lack of freedom of expression, violent dominance of foreigners and other ethnic groups. There would have been no subjugation of black man if there was no fear of hell, forcefully driven into their psyche, the fear of hell and torture of slave masters are the reasons why africans fearfully became devout of foreign ideals and religion  Currently, Gehenna (Greek) valley of Hinnom (Hebrew) or Hell fire (English) is a beautiful stone city of antique and magnificent aesthetics, it is currently in Jerusalem, a city that boasts of several UNESCO approved world heritage sites! A town of mixed religion and even ” world forbidden” atheists , hell fire is currently a place for wealthy tourists in the southern part of the Jerusalem city! It is very clean and tranquil. If you doubt me google is your friend, I envision hell fire to be very good for writing, meditation ,sightseeing and freaky escapades! I really want to go to hell fire Walahi I just can’t afford the flight tickets!

JAF Rejects N143 Petrol Price, Demands Reversal

The Joint Action Front on Thursday rejected the new pump price of petrol announced by the Nigerian Government from N123 to N143.80 per liter and demanded an immediate reversal.
JAF in a statement by its Chairperson, Dr Oladipo Fashina, and Secretary, Comrade Abiodun Aremu, described the increment as a punishment to Nigerians given the prevailing economic hardship in the country due to the Coronavirus pandemic.

The statement reads, “The Joint Action Front rejects the latest hike in the prices of petroleum products from the N123 pump price at most filling stations to the latest price of N143.
“This is coming against the background of serious hardship the working people and oppressed masses are going through, following the failure of the Nigerian state to provide adequate social support and access to mass testing in the face of threats to survival by the Coronavirus pandemic.
“JAF has consistently maintained that the current unjust system of neoliberal order is incapable of addressing the quest of Nigerians for free education, free healthcare, jobs for all and security of life and properties, hence our call for a sustained struggle for system change that would ensure a socio- economic arrangement that can guarantee provision of basic necessities to all.
“JAF calls on organised labour to provide leadership for resistance against the  IMF inspired hike in fuel prices and urges Nigerians to prepare for consistent resistance against attacks on jobs, education, healthcare, high cost of living and the urgent necessity to mobilise towards a new political alternative.”

BREAKING: APC Caretaker Committee Meets Tinubu In Lagos

Bola Tinubu

Members of the Caretaker Committee of the All Progressives Congress are currently in a meeting with National Leader of the party, Bola Tinubu, at his Bourdillion residence in Ikoyi, Lagos State.
A source told SaharaReporters that the APC Caretaker Chairman, Governor Mai Mala Buni of Yobe State, led other members of the committee that included the Secretary, Senator Akpan Udoedehe; Osun State governor, Adegboyega Oyetola, and governor of Niger State, Sani Bello, to the meeting.
The source said the meeting was meant to reassure Tinubu that the dissolution of the party’s National Working Committee was not targeted at him.
The National Working Committee of the party headed by Adams Oshiomhole was dissolved last week by the party’s National Executive Committee at an emergency meeting attended by President Muhammadu Buhari.
This was seen as a blow to Tinubu’s rumoured presidential ambition because of his closeness to Oshiomhole.

Urgent Memo To Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu By Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa

Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa

Your Excellency,
Please sir, I will like to seek your kind clarification on a burning issue on behalf of other Lagosians.
Is Epe still part of Lagos State?
If it is sir, why has the road leading to Epe from Lagos been abandoned?

The toll gate at Admiralty Circle Plaza is meant to service the Eti-Osa/Epe Expressway sir. We have been paying toll on that road since 2011 but it is like hell to travel from Lagos to Epe presently. It used to be a 30-minute journey from Ajah sir but now it is totally a mess.
Please take up this matter and help us with the reconstruction of that road sir, so as to decongest the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and give the people of Eti-Osa, Ibeju-Lekki and Epe, a sense of belonging.
The bulk of the IGR of Lagos State comes from Eti-Osa but it is the local government that is starved of infrastructure in the state.
God bless you for your anticipated prompt response and action sir.
Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, SAN
Lekki, Lagos.

Group Petitions National Assembly Over Alleged N80bn Fraud In NDDC

Advocacy group, Act for Positive Transformation Initiative, has written a petition to the leadership of the National Assembly for expeditious action on the planned probe exercise of the Niger Delta Development Commission.
The group alleged that verifiable available records at its disposal indicated that money squandered by the Interim Management Committee of the NDDC between January and May this year was N80bn.

The petition signed by the group’s Head, Directorate of Research, Strategy and Programmes, Kolawole Johnson, urged the National Assembly to stop NDDC under its present leadership from further financial transactions aside from monthly salary payments to workers.
The petition reads in part, “That the National Assembly directs the commission to stop all forms of procurements.
“That the National Assembly directs the commission and relevant agencies to stop all forms of payments from the commission’s account.
“That a proper account must be given for the over N80bn squandered by the commission between January and May, 2020.
“That the commission should be allowed to pay salaries only.
“That the National Assembly directs the commission to stop payments of all forms of allowances as this has been grossly abused.”
Kolawole alleged further that the IMC members of the NDDC pay themselves monthly allowances running into hundreds of millions, which are also extended to some staff of the commission.
He disclosed that such special payments made through alleged fraudulent imprest were paid to Mr Charles Odili, a director in the commission, on the 30th of April, 2020 at about 12:56pm in the sum of N10m in his UBA account.
The same Odili was said to have raised memos for over N1.2bn for imaginary media work within four weeks.
The petition added, “The MD of the commission, Prof Pondei routes one of his illegal monthly allowances N51.6m as imprest on Personal Security and Project Monitoring through the bank account of a staffer named Oweife Justina with employee ID no 94 while Dr Cairo Ojugboh, who collects N18m for same purpose, uses Eno Ukpe’s bank account, a staffer with employee ID no 509, for his payments.
“They also receive N10m monthly for hosting visitors. These payments are not connected to the money already provided in the budget for project monitoring, which has been overdrawn by over N180m in the last few months.
“Among numerous agitations, our office is, in recent times, inundated with cries from students abroad under the commission’s scholarship who are currently stranded in different countries.
“While these students are facing untold hardship, the present Interim Management Committee members are busy paying themselves money meant for the hapless students.
“Prof Pondei in particular, paid himself and received foreign scholarship payments into his private UBA account no 1002290165 on the 17th of April at about 16:50gmt.
“Same for Dr Cairo Ojugboh who also received millions into his private account no 1002428409 around 16:24GMT being payment for a 2020 post-graduate scholarship for himself. Several staff, especially those who had allegedly conspired with the present management to squander the commission’s fund, also received millions into their private accounts for the same 2020 post-graduate scholarship they never attended even during lockdown.”
The group added that the 2019 budget of the NDDC expired on May 31, 2020 and that the commission was yet to submit the 2019 budget performance to enable the parliament begin legislative work on the 2020 budget submitted to the National Assembly.
The NDDC has been accused by several groups across the country of financial recklessness at the expense of developmental projects in the Niger Delta region, prompting a planned probe by the National Assembly.

EXPOSED: How Central Bank Of Nigeria Deliberately Prevents Naira From Appreciating Against United States Dollar

One of the major reasons why the Central Bank of Nigeria has prevented financial institutions in the country from paying United States dollars to persons receiving money from friends and family members based overseas has been uncovered.
According to documents seen by SaharaReporters, the apex bank, which has refused to disclose the exact foreign remittances it has received from 2016 to 2018, deliberately stocks the US dollars it receives on behalf of Nigerians to trade them off through crooked means.

The CBN, it was gathered, was warehousing the dollar component of remittances in foreign banks, thereby making it impossible for the naira to appreciate against the dollar in the foreign exchange market.
Blowing the lid off this seeming goldmine for the CBN leadership, the Femi Falana chambers through Mrs Funmi Falana on February 10, 2020 wrote to the apex bank, demanding to know the accurate remittances for 2016, 2017 and 2018 respectively.
This request, according to the law firm, became necessary after it was discovered that the CBN had quoted a misleading figure in order to downplay the volume of money sent home by Nigerians in the Diaspora.
For instance, in February 2019, the Nigerian Government disclosed that the remittances received in the country in 2016, 2017 and 2018 were $19.6bn, $22bn and $25bn respectively.
However, the management of the Central Bank of Nigeria faulted the figures, going ahead to claim before the House of Representatives’ Committee on Diaspora that contrary to the World Bank’s report, the official financial inflow was $2.6bn for 2018.
Therefore, to the clear the air on the matter, Falana chambers in the letter to the CBN said, “At the 2019 National Diaspora Day held at Abuja in July 2019, the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Boss Mustapha, revealed that the remittances received by Nigeria stood at $19.6bn, $22bn and $25bn in 2016, 2017 and 2018.

var scribd_doc = scribd.Document.getDocFromUrl(‘ 20Falana%20Vs%20CBN.pdf’, ‘pub-38756116719609018964’);

var onDocReady = function(e){};

scribd_doc.addParam(‘jsapi_version’, 2);
scribd_doc.addParam(‘public’, true);
scribd_doc.addParam(‘allow_share’, true);
scribd_doc.addEventListener(‘docReady’, onDocReady);
scribd_doc.write(’embedded_doc_89534′);

})();

“According to Mr Mustapha, ‘The money is currently utilised as social security funds to families (school fees, feeding allowances, hospital bills and so on). Some of it is invested in housing and estate development, hospital projects, schools and commercial enterprises but are not properly documented and analysed for impact.’
“Springing from the above statement from the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, we request to be furnished with the official figures of remittances received by Nigeria from the Diaspora for 2016, 2017 and 2018.
“Please be informed that this request is anchored on the Freedom of Information Act, 2010.”
But in a response to the request on June 29, 2020, more than four months after the seven days required by law for FoI requests to be responded to, the CBN in a letter signed by its Director of Corporate Secretariat, Mrs C.E Olonta, said it could not respond because the information sought was already on its website.
Further findings by SaharaReporters revealed that even though all remittances are recorded by the CBN on a daily basis, the management has refused to disclose the real figures.
“It is pertinent to let the public know that apart from hiding the fact that revenue from remittances are far more than oil revenue, all foreign aids and Foreign Direct Investment, the CBN wants to continue to sabotage the national economy through dubious regulations and that was why it banned banks and other foreign exchange dealers from paying foreign currencies to recipients of foreign remittances.
“Thus, by warehousing the dollar component of remittances in foreign banks, the CBN has made it impossible for the naira to appreciate against the dollar in the foreign exchange market.
“In view of the decision of the Federal Government to mobilise the huge diaspora remittances to serve as a catalyst for economic development in line with the provisions of the Nigerians in Diaspora Commission Act, the CBN should be restrained from hoarding information on the money sent to the country by Nigerians living abroad,” a financial expert with deep knowledge of the fraud going on in the apex revealed.
