Woods sits out entire day three of Presidents Cup

United States captain Tiger Woods elected to rest himself from the afternoon foursomes at the Presidents Cup on Saturday, even with his team trailing the Internationals 9-5 at Royal Melbourne.

Esperance supporters arrested in Qatar before Club World Cup opener

Two groups of Esperance supporters have been arrested in Qatar, before their Club World Cup encounter with Al Hilal on Saturday, December 14.
The first group of 14 were taken into custody due to their conduct on the Qatar Airways flight from Tunis to Doha.

James Milner signs new three-year Liverpool contract

James Milner has signed a new three-year contract with Liverpool which will keep him at the club until 2022.
The midfielder, who has been with the Reds since joining from Manchester City on a free transfer in 2015, said in October that he was hopeful new terms could be agreed to extend his four-year stay on Merseyside.
His previous deal was due to expire at the end of the current season, but the England international will now remain at Anfield for an additional two years.

Barcelona coach Ernesto Valverde insisted on Friday that his team were not looking beyond Saturday’s La Liga match at Real Sociedad at the upcoming Clasico clash with Real Madrid.
