Man from Essex arrested over deaths of 39 boddies found in lorry

A 36-year-old man from Purfleet has been arrested on suspicion of manslaughter in connection with the deaths of 39 Vietnamese people in a lorry in Grays, Essex Police said.
Eight females and 31 males were found in the trailer on an industrial park, People came from provinces in Vietnam and were discovered on October 23, the two youngest people found in the truck were two boys aged just 15

The people were identified as coming from various provinces of Vietnam, with the youngest being two boys aged 15.

Hong Kong rights bill: China summons U.S. ambassador in protest

China’s foreign ministry summoned U.S. Ambassador Terry Branstad on Monday to protest against the passing in the U.S. Congress of the Hong Kong Human Rights and Democracy Act, saying it amounted to interference in an internal Chinese matter.
The ministry said in a notice posted on its website Vice Foreign Minister Zheng Zeguang pressed the United States “to correct its errors and stop meddling in Hong Kong affairs and interfering in China’s internal matters”.

The Executive Director, UN Women, Phumzile Mlambo-Ngouka has called for a total end to rape while recommending the recruitment of more women into the police forces and training them adequately as a crucial first step in ensuring that survivors begin to trust again.

In a statement made available to the media, in commemoration of the International Day for the Elimination of Violence against Women, Mlambo-Ngouka disclosed that almost universally, most perpetrators of rape either go unreported or undeterred, stating that less than 10 percent of women who did seek help after experiencing violence contacted the police.

Juventus coach Maurizio Sarri claimed he has been ostracised as a ‘Taliban’ by critics for wanting to play his own style of football.
The Italian tactician’s attacking brand of football, which has been dubbed ‘Sarriball’ by the media, was highly popular while he was at Napoli between 2015-18, as he led the Serie A club to two second-place finishes.

Gov. Zulum fires Head of Service

Gov. Babagana Zulum of Borno has relieved the state Head of Service (HOS), Mr Mohammed Hassan, of his appointment.
Alhaji Usman Shuwa, the Secretary to the State Government (SSG), made the disclosure in a statement on Tuesday in Maiduiguri.
