President Buhari commiserates with flood disaster victims

President Muhammadu Buhari has commiserated with victims of natural disasters, especially floods that ravaged some states, particularly across the Southwest and Southeastern parts of the country.

The President made his feelings known in a statement by his Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity, Malam Garba Shehu, in Abuja on Tuesday.
According to the Nigerian leader, this phenomenon is not peculiar to Nigeria as it is evident in other parts of the world.

9 kidnapped kids: Ganduje promises justice for victims

Governor Abdullahi Ganduje of Kano State has promised to ensure that justice is done for the nine children and victims of kidnapping from the state.
Abba Anwar, the chief press secretary to the governor made this known in a statement in Kano on Tuesday.
Ganduje quoted the governor as saying that the suspected kidnappers already arrested and who were said to have allegedly participated in the heinous act, along with their accomplices would be prosecuted to serve as a deterrent to others.

The Executive Vice Chairman of the Nigerian Communications Commission, NCC, Professor Umar Danbatta says the Commission is deploying lawful facilities to ensure the protection of children from harmful online practices.
Prof. Danbatta stated this in his remarks at a joint ITU-DBI workshop held on Tuesday in Abuja.
He said there was a need to protect children and bring them up in a manner that online contents and brought up in a manner that will make them insulated from harmful online contents.

Minimum Wage: FG, Labour Meeting ends in deadlock

The negotiation meeting between the Federal Government and the organised labour on the Consequential Adjustment on the new minimum wage was last night adjourned to today.

Already both the Federal Government and the organised have adjusted their positions on the Consequential Adjustment.
While the federal government has offered to make  consequential movement of workers from Grade Level 7-14 to 17 percent from its initial 11 percent and 12 percent for Grade Level 15-17 from 6.5 percent, the organized labour also shifted its position of 29 percent for consequential movement of GL-7-14 to 25 percent and 20 percent for GL15-17 from 25 percent.
