Following the revelation in the ‘S** for Grade’ documentary video released by BBC Africa Eye, the University of Lagos has shut-down the ‘Cold Room’, where lecturers allegedly sexually assaulted students.
The development was announced on Monday by the Principal Assistant Registrar (Communication Unit) of the university, Taiwo Oloyede.
The ‘Cold Room’ was mentioned by a lecturer of the school, Boniface Igbeneghu, in a documentary filmed discretely by the BBC.
In the documentary, Igbeneghu described the room as a place where lecturers meet to “touch students’ breast” at the staff club of the university.

Saturn has overtaken Jupiter as the planet with the most moons, according to US researchers.

A team discovered a haul of 20 new moons orbiting the ringed planet, bringing its total to 82; Jupiter, by contrast, has 79 natural satellites.
The moons were discovered using the Subaru telescope on Maunakea, Hawaii.
Each of the newly discovered objects in orbit around Saturn is about 5km (three miles) in diameter; 17 of them orbit the planet “backwards”.

Two teenagers were arrested after allegedly robbing the grave of an 84-year-old grandmother and having s** with her corpse.

The youngsters, who cannot be identified, were caught after the family of the deceased went to visit her grave the day after she was buried on September 29 in Davao, the Philippines.
They found that the tomb of Isabel Bastatas had been disturbed and her legs were poking out of the white coffin.

A civil rights group, Coalition for Civil Rights and Good Governance has raised an alarm over the worrisome activities of foreign non-governmental organizations in the North-East.

The group made this revelation in a press conference on Monday in Abuja to demand the probe of these international NGOs.
In a statement signed by its convener, Princess Ajibola, the coalition said it had taken time to review and evaluate the recent developments in the NorthEast and found these supposed humanitarian groups culpable of supporting the insurgency.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is renowned for posing for high-octane photo opportunities like tiger-tracking or deepwater diving.
But in images released to celebrate his birthday on Monday, the long-term leader was seen enjoying some of Russia’s more peaceful wildlife.
Putin, who has turned 67, spent a mini-break in mountains above the Yenisei River in Siberia at the weekend foraging for wild mushrooms with his defence minister Sergei Shoigu.
In video footage released by the Kremlin, Putin and Shoigu were shown picking and sniffing mushrooms.
