Factional leaders of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW), Oyo State chapter, has resolved the crisis rocking the union and agreed to elect new leaders on Oct.23.

Mr Kayode Ogunyanbi, the National Deputy General Secretary of the union, made this known at the end of the reconciliation meeting, held in Ibadan on Friday.
The meeting was brokered by the state government and stakeholders in the state transport sector, in conjunction with the NURTW national leadership.

Dr. Okechukwu Anthony, a cardiologist, has said that chronic low blood pressure was dangerous because it rarely manifests obvious symptoms.

Anthony told the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), on Friday in Abuja that low blood pressure was a “significant predictor of cognitive decline and the probability of developing dementia”.
According to him, low blood pressure has no regard for age, gender, weight, cardiovascular, kidney or diabetic status.
The cardiologist said that insufficient brain blood flow plays a critical role in the development of dementia, Alzheimer, and, perhaps, even Parkinson diseases.

The Edo State Government in partnership German tech giant, SAP and Coder In Africa (Coderina), has commenced training of over 1,700 public school teachers on coding and web programming.
The training is part of workshops across Africa to mark the Africa Code Week. It is also in line with Edo state government’s efforts to leverage Information Communication Technology (ICT), to boost digital literacy skills for secondary school teachers and students across the state.

A member of the Court, Justice Dupe Atoki gave the advice on Friday at a news conference held in Lagos on the Sensitisation Programme of the ECOWAS Community Court of Justice.

Osun State Governor, Adegboyega Oyetola has described the death of an elder statesman and former Alliance for Democracy (AD) leader in the Senate, Senator Mojisoluwa Akinfenwa, as not only devastating but another loss to the family of the progressives in Nigeria.
Oyetola, in a statement by his media aide, Ismail Omipidan, commiserated with his immediate family in particular and the progressives’ family in general, saying the late elder statesman died at a time his wise counsel and political experiences were needed most in the polity.
