Malam Garba Shehu, the President’s spokesman in a statement in Abuja on Thursday, said the Nigerian leader stated this when he responded to questions during a news conference at the Union Building, alongside his host, President Cyril Ramaphosa.

Thieves stole some of Mahatma Gandhi’s remains on what would have been his 150th birthday, police say.

The ashes were taken from a memorial in central India, where they had been kept since 1948 – the year of Gandhi’s assassination by a Hindu extremist.
The thieves also scrawled “traitor” in green paint across photographs of the independence leader.
Some Hindu hardliners view Gandhi as a traitor for his advocacy of Hindu-Muslim unity.

Senator Mojiseoluwa Akinfenwa, a Senator between 1999 to 2003 is dead.
It was gathered that the former Senator representing Osun East Senatorial District died after a protracted illness in Ibadan.
He was a member of the Yoruba socio-political group Afenifere before his demise.
The Erin-Ijesa born politician death was confirmed by Aro of Erin Ijesa, Chief Dare Ajimotokin.

He was said to be about 90 years before his demise on Thursday.

Former Nigerian Olympic captain, Isaac Promise, dies at 31

Isaac Promise, who captained Nigeria to the 2008 Olympic silver medal and scored 79 goals in 11 professional seasons in Turkey, died late Wednesday after collapsing at his apartment gym in Austin, Texas, authorities said. He was 31.
Bold was playing for the Austin Bold of the USL and the team said Thursday that he died Wednesday night. Police said authorities were called after a report of a deceased person at Isaac’s apartment building but no further details were immediately available.
