The Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Fashola on Thursday called on the youth to rise up to the responsibility of nation-building, as the future belonged to them.
Fashola made the call during the 81st anniversary, Ikoyi Club 1938 Lecture in Lagos.
Speaking on the topic “Youths and Leadership in Nation Building”, the minister said that there were several opportunities youths must seize locally by taking responsibility, instead of migrating to other countries.

Hisbah officials of Zamfara Sharia Monitoring Commission have arrested one Joseph Ada over alleged sales of alcoholic drinks in contravention of the law banning sale and consumption of intoxicants in the state.
The Acting Secretary of the commission, Mallam Sani Hamza, made the disclosure to newsmen in Kaura Namoda on Thursday, according to NAN report.
According to him, the man was arrested in Kaura Namoda while in possession of 96 bottles of assorted alcohol drinks.

Twelve people were rescued on Thursday and no one was killed after a three-story building under construction collapsed in Sierra Leone.

The incident occurred in the southern city of Bo, the second-largest city in the West African country after the capital, Freetown.
Four of the rescued were hospitalised and released and eight others were still being treated, Southern Province Assistant Police Inspector General Kapri Saidu Kamara said, according to Aljazeera report.
