Police have fired tear gas and water cannons at protesters demonstrating outside the Indonesian parliament over a proposed new criminal code that would ban s** before marriage.
Protests against the bill also took place in other cities in the country.
The bill according to BBC report would outlaw most abortions and make insulting the president illegal.
The bill has been delayed, but protesters are concerned it could still eventually pass through parliament.

Nigerian artiste, Wizkid has been announced as the headline act for this year’s BBC Radio 1Xtra Live music event.
Wizkid will join the likes of French Montana, Ms Banks, Aitch and DaniLeigh at Arena Birmingham on 5 October.
He said he was “looking forward” to the event, adding: “Big up 1Xtra for supporting our culture.”
Other acts performing at the event include Headie One, Miraa May, Stylo G, and Lil Tecca.

Thieves have stolen two television sets from a home of South Africa’s police chief Gen Khehla Sitole, a police spokesman has said.
“Actually it was not a break-in. However, two television sets were stolen,” Brigadier Vish Naudi was quoted by South Africa’s privately owned IOL news site as saying.
“The national commissioner’s house is currently under construction and therefore we are exploring certain possibilities. We believe that this was purely opportunistic.”

Gen Sitole was apparently in the parliamentary capital, Cape Town when the thieves struck at his home in eastern Mpumalanga province, IOL reported.

“We particularly commend the president’s call for strong action against xenophobia, racism, poverty, climate change, international crimes terrorism and other forms of threat to life”, APC said in a statement by its spokesman, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, Tuesday night in Abuja.

Samson Siasia pleads for release of mother kidnapped 10 weeks ago

Nigeria’s former player and coach, Samson Siasia whose mother has been kidnapped for 10 weeks now, pleaded for her release noting she’s sick prior to the occurrence of the incident.
Mrs Ogere Siasia, 76, and two others have been held captive since they were seized in Bayelsa, southern Nigeria ten weeks ago, a BBC report stated.
But Siasia says the police are no closer to finding her.
“The police said it’s been difficult to track these kidnappers, but my great concern is that my mother is very sick,” Siasia told BBC Sport.
