State Of The Nation: Restructuring Of The Mind Before The Entity, By Richard Odusanya

Richard Odusanya

“Great achievements are usually borne out of great sacrifice, and never the result of SELFISHNESS.”
“Opportunity often comes disguised in the form of misfortune or temporary defeat.”
“Every adversity, every failure, every heartbreak, carries with it the seed of an equal or greater benefit.”—Napoleon Hill.

Richard Odusanya

The mind is the engine room and battle field of life, it is where battles are won and lost. When the majority of our people are self-centered, when the society is materialistic, not futuristic, we need to know that it is from this majority that leaders emerge. It then becomes imperative that we RESTRUCTURE the mind first before anything else.
Mindful of the urgency and delicate nature of the Nigerian situation; we must maximise the window of opportunities and avoid the violent disintegration of Nigeria with catastrophic consequences. Not unmindful of the fact that Nigeria is a fraudulent enterprise, run by fraudulent Constitution/minds and supervised by criminals for the benefit of few greedy and rapacious elements. As posited by The NIGERIAN INDIGENOUS NATIONALITIES ALLIANCE FOR SELF-DETERMINATION. (NINAS).
Changing your mindset is no easy task, but having an open and positive mindset is a game changer. Your personal growth is what propels the choices you make for your physical, emotional, and spiritual well-being. Just something as simple as changing your thinking can change your life. Our beloved country, Nigeria, is in dire need of genuine change and that change begins with us individually.
A perfect example of how to change our mindsets: “Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left, that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. A perfect scriptural injunction.”
There are several things to say about the mind which gives us the picture of what to do or what not to do. There is naturally enmity between the mind and the creator and such a mind will not obey the law of God. For me, what is more important and very urgent is the RESTRUCTURING of the minds of millions of our compatriots across the globe. A mind that sees: patriotism, nationalism and sacrifice, over and above self-centeredness, materialistic tendencies, primordial and ethnic chauvinism, is much more desirable for a new Nigeria.
The pessimistic person sees difficulty in every opportunity, while the sing-song in our beloved country Nigeria, today, is about political restructuring, separatism and agitation about self determination. I see HOPE, I see an opportunity to address our shortcomings, and I see us coming out from this present predicament stronger as a nation.
Strong minds discuss ideas,  average minds discuss events and the weak minds discuss people. The time has come for us to turn around our country – Nigeria for positive change to the benefit of the continent of Africa and the glory of God Almighty. In our patriotic duty and mindsets, the time has come for us to begin to discuss the “Way forward”. God bless our beloved country Nigeria.
While we identify with the authentic leadership of the Southern trapped ethnic nationalities; under the erudite Prof Banji Akintoye, comprising South-West, South-East, South-South and the Middle-Belt, it has become imperative that the RESTRUCTURING of the mind should be considered as the most important thing, so that we do not replicate the same set of leadership that we are dealing with presently. A leadership that is only interested in “power without responsibility”.
NIGERIA IS BLEEDING AND CANNOT BREATHE…

E2%80%99s-authorities-buried-evidence-proving-alex-saab%E2%80%99s-diplomatic-humanitarian How Cape Verde’s Authorities Buried Evidence Proving Alex Saab’s Diplomatic, Humanitarian Status

Ambassador Alex Saab

Cape Verde’s law enforcement authorities have been accused of refusing to present the irrefutable evidence that affirms Alex Saab as a special envoy, and the humanitarian nature of his special mission to Iran, to its Supreme Court prosecutor.
The International Legal Team’s Coordinator, Baltasar Garzón, stated this, noting that this is despite the evidence being in their possession.

Ambassador Alex Saab

Mr Garzón disclosed this on Thursday in a statement while reacting to the Cape Verde’s Supreme Court ruling on Mr Saab, noting that Saab was not carrying a diplomatic passport, when he was arrested during his stopover at Cape Verde.
His bag contained irrefutable evidence supporting both his status as a special envoy and the humanitarian nature of his special mission to Iran.
Saab’s legal counsel is Nigeria’s human rights lawyer and Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Femi Falana.
“These letters were not brought to the knowledge of the Prosecutor by the Cape Verde police even when in possession of the evidence. This was a fact that was reported to the Supreme Court and the Prosecutor.
This complaint remains unanswered by both the judicial and law enforcement authorities of Cape Verde,” his statement reads.
On March 15, the ECOWAS court ordered the release of Mr Saab.

Despite ECOWAS Court Ruling, Cape Verde Moves To Extradite Alex Saab To US

In its judgement, it also directed the Cape Verdean government to pay him $200,000 as compensation for his “illegal arrest and detention” and that they should “discontinue all proceedings and processes aimed at extraditing the Applicant to the USA”.
Instead of complying with the ECOWAS court ruling, the Cape Verdean Supreme Court on March 17, gave an order authorising the extradition of the Venezuelan diplomat, Alex Saab, who has been in detention since late June 2020, to the United States of America.
The apex court upheld the regional court’s initial judgement on the basis that the archipelago country was not legally bound by the regional court’s decisions.
This contravenes the initial judgment issued by the ECOWAS court on Mr Saab’s arrest, detention and plan by the Cape Verdean government to extradite him.
Reacting to the Supreme Court’s judgment, Mr Garzón said the ECOWAS court decreed the illegality of Mr Saab’s detention and that it is clear given the binding nature of the decision on Cape Verde, that he must be released immediately.

Detained Diplomat: Falana Writes Republic Of Cape Verde, Requests Compliance With ECOWAS Court Judgment

He said the fact is that Mr Saab is now his country’s Alternate Permanent Representative to the African Union, so, not only was his detention found illegal by the ECOWAS but also, on the basis of international law, his diplomatic status is unquestionable.
On his part, Falana, Mr Saab’s leading counsel, described the moment as a “day of shame” and as well urged ECOWAS to speak up in order to support the sanctity of the ECOWAS court.
Mr Falana said, “In a decision which can only be described as ‘extraordinary and unprecedented’, Cape Verde’s Supreme Court decided that the extradition of Venezuelan diplomat Alex Saab could proceed.”
The Senior Advocate of Nigeria, said the decision was handed down in direct defiance of the ruling made by the ECOWAS Court of Justice on Monday.
He reiterated that the ECOWAS Court had ruled on Monday that Alex Saab, who was detained on 12 June 2020 on the Cape Verde island of Sal whilst undertaking a humanitarian special mission, must be released immediately and the extradition process initiated at the request of the United States, stopped.
According to the court’s decision, Mr Falana noted that there was no “red notice” in place when Mr Saab was arrested making both the arrest and all subsequent actions illegal.

“This is an extraordinary and unprecedented act of disobedience by Cape Verde. It is a Day of Shame for ECOWAS,” he said.
Mr Falana expressed worry that there can be no debate about the binding nature of the ECOWAS Court’s decision on Cape Verde, urging members of the ECOWAS Commission to stand up and make clear their opposition to the behaviour of Cape Verde.
“If the Commission wants the highest human rights court in ECOWAS to continue to command the respect of not just the community but all of Africa, then it is imperative that senior officials condemn the actions of Cape Verde,” Mr Falana said.
Also, Mr Falana called upon the ECOWAS Heads of State to convey their concern and displeasure at the shameful actions of Cape Verde.
“In approving the extradition, Cape Verde is destroying the entire global diplomatic order and the sanctity of diplomatic missions which has been established over several centuries,” he said.
Jose-Manuel Monteiro, who has been leading Mr Saab’s defence team in Cape Verde was quoted to have said, “For the Supreme court to deliver a ruling which serves no purpose but satisfy the political avarice of others is very disappointing.”
He noted that it is now up to the ECOWAS Commission to speak up and preserve the integrity and independence of its own court, and that Cape Verde must not be allowed to subvert the judicial organ of ECOWAS without appropriate sanctions.
“The defence will now appeal today’s decision to the Cape Verde Constitution Court and is exploring all other legal options to bring an end to the illegal arrest and extradition process being conducted against Alex Saab,” he said.

E2%80%94former-cjn-onnoghen Buhari Sacked Me Over My Rumoured Meeting With Atiku —Former CJN, Onnoghen

Former Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN), Walter Onnoghen, has alleged that he was sacked by President Muhammadu Buhari over a baseless rumour of holding a meeting with Ex-Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, in Dubai before the 2019 general elections.
Onnoghen disclosed this at the public presentation of a book titled: “Fundamental Rights (Enforcement Procedure) Rules, 2009: Practice, procedure, forms and precedents,” authored by Ogwu James Onoja (SAN).

He expressed disappointment with the president’s failure to validate such a piece of information before acting on it, despite its huge investigative capacities.According to the Nation report, Onnoghen who recalled the process leading to his removal noted that the situation got to its head when all of a sudden his trial before the Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) was put in motion even when he had not been invited or accused of any wrongdoing. He condemned his trial process before the CCT, and further stated that in the course of the trial and when parties had joined issues, an ex parte application was suddenly brought in and “what followed was my illegal and unlawful suspension as the CJN.”

E2%80%99s-ex-nanny-other-house-helps-invite-punch Sexual Harassment: Police Hunt Fani-Kayode’s Ex-nanny, Other House Helps, Invite PUNCH Reporter

Femi Fani-Kayode

Abuja police command has launched a manhunt for Anthonia Uchenna, a nanny who accused her former boss and ex-Minister of Aviation, Femi Fani-Kayode, of sexual harassment.
In a report by Punch newspaper, others who are being hunted are Emmanuel Anakan (former dog handler), Osakwe Azubuike (former carpenter), Oko Emmanuel (former cook), Daniel Gona (former driver), and Agbolo Edah (former cook), all of whom accused the ex-minister of assault.

PUNCH reporter, Eniola Akinkuotu, who interviewed Fani-Kayode’s ex-workers, was also invited by the police for questioning while a former driver to Fani-Kayode, Jonathan Gaiya, was arrested and made to withdraw his allegations.
He was subsequently released and then asked to return regularly to the police to make statements.
The Head, Legal Department at the FCT SCID, James Idachaba, reportedly said it was only an investigation and those accused would be charged to court if the Force established a prima facie case against them.
He was quoted as saying, “I am a lawyer of over 20 years. I don’t investigate libel cases.“The petition sent to the CP and forwarded to me is that of criminal defamation. That is what I am investigating including the fabrication of a false statement.
“We don’t do that (force people to recant statements) in our office. He (driver) was brought to my office and it was recorded. We are conducting investigation and if we see there is a prima facie case, we charge to court.”
Punch said about eight of Fani-Kayode’s former domestic staff members had visited the company’s office in Abuja where they took turns to level allegations of assault and sexual harassment against the former minister. The former domestic workers had also stated the allegations in affidavits.
In a bid to get a response from Fani-Kayode, The PUNCH had forwarded all the affidavits to him on March 9, 2021, to ensure balance. In response, Fani-Kayode wrote a petition to the State Criminal Investigation Department, FCT command, accusing his former workers of defamation and perjury.
Some of the former domestic aides, who have now gone into hiding for fear of retribution, said the ex-minister resorted to strong-arm tactics to compel them to withdraw their statements, Punch reported.
The police invited the reporter, Akinkuotu, who had conducted the interview.
In a letter titled, ‘Letter of Invitation. Re: Eniola Akinkuotu’, signed by the officer in charge of the legal section, CSP James Idachaba, The PUNCH was asked to produce Akinkuotu on March 22, 2021.
The letter, which was addressed to the Managing Director, PUNCH Nigeria Limited, dated March 17, 2021, with reference number AR:3000/FCT/X/D10/Vol.6/178, was delivered to The PUNCH office by one Iorshagher Terkaa
It read in part, “This office is investigating a case of conspiracy, perjury and defamation of character wherein your staff named above is needed as a witness to arrive at a successful conclusion.
“In view of the above, you are requested to release the above-named person to interview the undersigned on March 22, 2021, by 10.00hrs. As we await your prompt response, accept the esteemed regards of the commissioner of Police FCT.”
The PUNCH published the interviews of the domestic servants despite spirited attempts by Fani-Kayode to get the newspaper to drop the story.
One of the ex-workers, Oko, had told The PUNCH in the interview that the ex-minister once chased him around the house with a knife because he was not happy with his cooking.
Oko, who worked for the ex-minister for six months, had said, “Chief Fani-Kayode is a paranoid soul that gets angry for no reason. There was a time he held a knife and was walking around the table and said ‘I will kill you now’, ‘I will send you to hell now’. I would be running around the kitchen while his police orderlies would be watching,” he said.
Fani-Kayode, who had said he was not going to react to the allegations when contacted before the publication, however, sent a pre-litigation letter to The PUNCH on March 18, 2021, claiming that he was not allowed to respond to the allegations.
The former minister, in a letter signed by his lawyer, Adeola Adedipe, said the entire episode was orchestrated by his ex-lover and mother of his four sons, Precious Chikwendu, who is engaged in a custody battle with him.
He asked The PUNCH to enter into negotiations for the possible payment of N6 billion as damages for the defamation of his character. The letter read in part, “Please note that our client’s intention to institute a civil suit against your organisation for defamation alongside Ms Precious Chikwendu and her sister, Prisca Chikwendu, who are believed by our client to be the masterminds of this scandalous assemblage.
“We are not unmindful of the roles played by Emmanuel Anakan (former dog handler), Anthonia Uchenna (former nanny), Osakwe Azubuike (former carpenter), Jonathan Gaiya (former driver), Oko Emmanuel (a former chef), Daniel driver (former driver), and Agbolo Kosi Edah in actualising the maliciously scripted plan to defame our client. They will also be legally proceeded against.
“However, for whatever it is worth, you may wish to enter into negotiations with us for the sum of N6bn as a token amount for penitence, apologise to our client on the platform you made available to scandalise him and thereafter assist the police with the investigation.”

Nigeria Is Sinking, Ex-Army Intelligence Officer Laments Atrocities Of Bandits

A former Army Intelligence Officer, Col Hassan Stan-Labo (rtd) has decried the habitual occurrences of the Northern political leaders negotiating with bandits in the country.
Stan-Labo said the Nigerian Army has all it takes to crush the raiders terrorising the Northern part of Nigeria.

He said this during a TV programme on Arise News anchored by Reuben Abatti on Tuesday.
Nigeria is at the mercy of the Boko Haram terrorists, killer Fulani herders and bandits who basically have their origins from the North.
Tens of thousands have been killed by these criminals, while public and private funds have also given to them as ransom to secure freedom for their victims.
Reacting during the programme, the ex-officer said the sovereignty of the country was endangered with incessant attacks of bandits that were not checked by the military.
“We cannot, and I repeat we cannot negotiate with these guys. We’ve got what it takes to crush them off. You only begin to negotiate when you’ve not done your homework. When you’ve not put what should be put in place, in place.
“They have taken over your kids or your citizens, hold them ransom, there’s nothing you can do. Any attempt at rescue operation, there will be high collateral damage, you lose nearly half or three-quarters of them, and then you are called to start negotiating.
“As a country with a strong Defence Force, having actually equipped your inventory, my God, you go there and crush the enemy. That’s what I expect from Nigeria. We did this in Liberia, we did this in Sierra Leone. What is happening with us? Is this Nigeria?
“Our sovereignty is threatened. Bandits have taken over this country, and we are watching? We are watching? For Christ’s sake, we must save this country. This is the only land we have. Can someone tell the President that Nigeria is sinking? Every day, we are sinking.”

US President, Joe Biden Falls While Boarding Air Force One

President Joe Biden stumbled three times and fell on the steps of Air Force One on Friday, prompting fresh questions about his health, The Telegraph reports.
The 78-year-old – the oldest president in US history – appeared to struggle as he boarded the presidential plane.

The Telegraph

It was not immediately clear what tripped Biden up the first time, but shortly after recovering he fell twice more before dusting himself off. Security officials, meanwhile, looked on with concern from the ground.
The president recovered to give a salute at the top of the stairs before departing to meet with Asian American community leaders in the wake of the massage parlour massacre in Atlanta, Georgia.
In November, the commander-in-chief suffered a hairline fracture in his right foot while playing with his rescue dog Major, requiring him to wear an orthopedic boot for several weeks.
Biden, who has said he uses a Peloton bike to keep fit, often makes a point of jogging in a show of his fitness.
However, questions have been raised about Mr Biden’s mental, and physical, acumen. The president on Thursday accidentally called Kamala Harris, Vice President, “President Harris”.
Throughout the election campaign he has engaged in numerous malapropisms, slurred words, mispronouncing words and misidentifying people, such as calling his wife, Jill, his sister.
A senior pro-Kremlin politician in Russia accused Biden of having dementia on Thursday, striking back after the the US president called his counterpart Vladimir Putin a “killer”.
Republican detractors have long claimed the president is suffering from senility.
“I remember the press bashing Trump for touching the rail once,” tweeted a gleeful Donald Trump Jnr, sharing the clip of the incident.
“Biden falls repeatedly but I’m sure he’s the picture of health. No wonder all our enemies are pouncing simultaneously and mocking him publicly.”
The president’s latest medical report showed no signs of any degenerative disease.
Biden survived two brain aneurysms in the late 1980s — one did not rupture. And while the condition was later complicated by subsequent deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism, his doctor at the time stated there was no serious threats to his health and medical conditions.
Despite this, a new poll shows the number of Americans who approve of Biden has grown steadily since he took office, according to Reuters/Ipsos polling released on Friday, driven by concrete steps his administration has taken to address the public health and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus pandemic.
The March 17-18 national opinion poll found that 59 per cent of adults in the US approved of Biden’s overall job performance, while 35 per cent disapproved and 6 per cent said they were not sure.
The number of adults who approve of Biden is up by about 4 percentage points since a poll that ran in late January, and the increase is largely due to a rise in Mr Biden’s popularity among independents.
Biden and Harris will later meet community leaders and state lawmakers from the Asian-American and Pacific Islander community in Atlanta, Georgia, to hear concerns about the killings and discuss a rise in anti-Asian hate crimes.

Fani-Kayode Never Assaulted, Sexually Harassed Any Of Us, Nurse Comes To Ex-Minister’s Defence

Favour Anthony, a nurse attached to the residence of a former Minister of Aviation Chief Femi Fani-Kayode, has dismissed allegations of assault and sexual harassment against him, saying he never assaulted her.
A former domestic worker for Fani-Kayode, Anthonia Uchenna, had alleged that the former minister stripped his former chef naked over theft and arrested some others suspected of stealing in his house.

She added that the ex-minister had used the police to detain her on several occasions.
Uchenna said, “I witnessed Chief Fani-Kayode direct his bodyguards to completely strip his chef naked on the allegation that they stole from him. He sometimes drags his staff to the police station where they remain for days.
“I was treated in a similar way too. Chief Fani-Kayode instructed one Bako to strip me naked and then beat me up. I was taken to the police station.”
The former nanny also accused the former minister of sexual harassment.

Uchenna said, “Fani-Kayode has sexually harassed me on different occasions. One of those times was when his wife instructed me to take her son to Chief Femi Fani-Kayode’s room and as I was placing the child on the bed, I felt his hand on my buttocks.
“He threatens to beat me up whenever I protest against his harassments. I am aware that he sexually harasses other female staff members too. I know that he sexually harassed one Blessing who also worked with him and as a result, she had to quit her job.”
Uchenna, who said she was paid N80,000 per month, added that the ex-minister owed her three months salary.
But Anthony in a statement sighted by SaharaReporters debunked the allegations, saying they were all lies from the pit of hell.

She alleged that the estranged wife of the former minister, Precious Chikwendu, was behind a conspiracy to tarnish his image.
Anthony, who claimed to be a pastor, said there was never a time the Fani-Kayode assaulted anyone.
She said the lady in the viral video was sacked in 2019 for allegedly stealing.
“My name is Pastor Favour Anthony. I am the head nurse of Chief Fani-Kayode. I have been working with him and the children for four years,” the statement read.
“It has been brought to my attention that one Anthonia, who was sacked in 2019, has gone to the press and made a video in which she has told many lies against Chief Fani-Kayode.
“She has also made a video which is full of falsehood and fabrications, she also swore to a fake affidavit making these allegations. This matter is now under criminal investigation and Anthonia was told to tell these lies together with five other former staff members just to tarnish Chief Fani-Kayode’s name.
“In all my four years of working in Chief Fani-Kayode’s house, none of the staff members was sexually molested, including men. And no staff member was ever stripped naked, this is a ridiculous claim and it never happened.
