Lagos State Deputy Governor, Dr Kadri Hamzat, has restated the present administration’s commitment to making Lagos a Smart City.
The deputy governor said this at the 2019 Nigeria Computer Society (NSC) Lagos Information Technology Conference and Annual General Meeting with the theme:’Information Technology: The enabler for a Sustainable Lagos Economy”.
Represented by the state Commissioner for Science and Technology, Mr Hakeem Fahm, Hamzat said that achieving smart city was a call to action and a core challenge of the administration.

Lagos police rescues 15 persons chained in church

The Lagos State Police Command, on Thursday, said it had rescued about fifteen inmates, who were chained in an illegal healing church at the Isheri Oshun area of the state.
Situated at 26, Alafia Street, Oriofe Ijegun Isheri, the place known as Blessings of Goodness Healing Church was operated by one Prophet, Joseph Ojo, 58.

Nigerian woman with long clitoris legally changes status to male

The Supreme Court of Nigeria in Abuja on Tuesday declared that women in Nigeria who have clitorises longer than 7,5 centimetres (3 inches) can now be legally considered as men.
This was a very controversial ruling which however led to jubilation
A 36-year old Isioma Adeyemi had requested to change her legal status from female to male due to the length of her clitoris.

This request was however granted by five-member Supreme Court panel, led by Justice Mary Odili who ruled that her request was “perfectly sound and legitimate”, ordering that her legal status be changed immediately.
