target=_blank>Reno Omokri To Senator Abbo: Apology Is Not Enough, Attend Anger Management Classes
Former Special Assistant to Nigerian ex-President Goodluck Jonathan, Reno Omokri, has condemned Senator Elisha Abbo for his inglorious act of assaulting a woman at a s** toy shop while advising the senator to attend anger control classes.
The senator, who was shown in a video assaulting a woman in a s** toy shop, had denied hitting the woman saying the video did not reflect the actual sequence of the incident.
He said, “We will soon release an official statement to the viral video which happened before I became a senator where my younger sister was beaten to a pulp in a shop and I was called upon there; where I had to call an ambulance and a police to come to the scene and it got out of hand I was also assaulted.
“It is an old video, but we will soon release a statement to that effect. It was my sister that was at the store and she was assaulted. In fact, she fainted in the shop but they compressed the video and cut that part out of it.”
However, in a tweet thread, Reno Omokri berated Abbo stating that apology is not all that is needed from the senator.
Omokri demanded that the senator make amends to the lady, who was later identified as Bibra and attend anger management classes.
His tweet read: “Elisha Abbo has reached out to me and promised to apologise to the lady in question and all Nigerians in general. It is NOT ENOUGH. But it is a beginning. He has also promised that he will make amends and also abide by whatever the law provides #SenatorAbboAdmitsAndApologises.
“His apology is NOT ENOUGH. But it is an important step. I will hold him to his promise to make amends to the lady in question and to attend anger management classes.
“What he did is UNACCEPTABLE. But I am glad that he had fessed up and manned up #SenatorAbboAdmitsAndApologises.”

target=_blank>How Former Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika Organised Illegal Mass Employment In Ministry, Workers’ Union Reject Nepotism
Minister of Aviation Hadi Sirika
Former Minister of State for Aviation, Hadi Sirika
The immediate past Minister of State for Aviation, Sirika Hadi, is using his position and influence to fraudulently employ his favorites into the ministry, SaharaReporters has learned.
Hadi, who hails from Katsina State, is a former pilot and General Manager, Katsina State Transport Authority.
The former minister is still acting in proxy as a shadow minister, giving instruction and sponsoring illegal employment in the ministry, a source told SaharaReporters on Wednesday.
Late last year, the aviation ministry started working on employing new workers based on shortage of manpower in ARFFs (Fire Dept) and AVSEC (Security dept).
The employment (grade level 04- 06) was designed strictly for WASSCE and National Diploma holders.
The source said, “Some of the bosses from Human Resources, AVSEC and ARFFS went to the four zones/regions to conduct the exercise. Meanwhile, the benchmark for the employment of such, after much deliberation, is 30 (age). However, the GM ARFFS is bent on 26 olds.
“The number of people to be employed is about 1500. Now, people invited to start training at the DSS office at Kaduna were not people being interviewed. Secondly, the people who were called are far above the age of 30. Some are as old as 50 years old but they have been encouraged to falsify their age and documents.
“Subsequently, Hadi Sirika brought about 700 Katsina indigenes who are aged, some physically unfit…While they were asked to go back, people started calling Hadi who then instructed them to return to the (training) camp.
“Last week, some of the General Managers insisted that they won’t start the training until those unfit, those who falsified documents and those not interviewed, leave the training center.
“This is three weeks into the time the training is meant to commence. Nothing has started because of these challenges and the said training is said to last for three weeks at the DSS college.
“While they asked them to go back, people started calling Hadi who then instructed them to return to the camp. Even the DSS team is not in agreement with the old faces they are seeing. The union has come in also to say NO to the impunity. Hadi is also moving the FAAN Headquarters to Abuja and from information, the building was contracted to his cronies that he’ll also gain from.”
The source added, “Meanwhile, there are two directors that are due to leave the service. They are under contract, however, they’re now 60 years of age. They are, the Director of Human Resources & Admin in the person of Anozie Honorius and the Director of Commercial & Business Development in the person of Abdulkadir Sadiku Rafindadi: Yet they are still being used by the same Hadi.
“He (Hadi) is doing what he’s doing with every confidence that he would be re-appointed and that he would get more money that he’ll use for his governorship ambition. It’s really messy though, so many things wrong.
“Prior to this time, he’s been giving his favorites employment, siphoning funds, using people’s names for international training and cornering it. He’s doing what he’s doing with every confidence that he’s returning to get more money that he’ll use for his governorship ambition.”

target=_blank>Immediately Arrest Senator Elisha Abbo For Assaulting Nursing Mother, Rights Group Tells Police
A civil rights advocacy group, Human Rights Writers Association Of Nigeria (HURIWA), has called for the arrest of Senator Elisha Abbo who physically assaulted a nursing mother in a s** toy shop.
The senator went to the shop to purchase some s**-satisfaction items when he assaulted the lady.
The group, however, applauded the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) for condemning the alleged misconduct of a senator elected on its platform.
“The thorough, transparent and open investigation, prosecution of the senator before the competent court of law in line with section 6 of the Nigerian Constitution would convey the direct message that nobody is above the law just as the group believes that the victim of his unprovoked attacks must be protected and granted legal remedies for those violations,” HURIWA said in a statement.
“The PDP has immediately invoked her powers to deploy internal mechanisms to deal with the matter as stated the media statement in which the National Publicity Secretary of PDP Mr. Kola Olagbodiyan disclosed that In the light of this, the NWC has commenced investigation into the matter and summons Senator Elisha Abbo in line with the provisions of the Constitution of the PDP and code of conduct of our members.”

target=_blank>President Buhari Set To Sign AfCFTA
Following the approval of the recommendations of the Presidential Committee on the Impact and Readiness Assessment of the African Continental Free Trade Area, #AfCFTA agreement, President Buhari is set to sign the agreement.
President Buhari stated that his government would seek to include terms that engender the development of policies that promote African production, among other benefits.
The signing of phase one of the agreement would make the country go into country-level discussions leading to treaties after safeguards are agreed to.
He said, “Africa, therefore, needs not only a trade policy but also a continental manufacturing agenda. Our vision for intra-African trade is for the free movement of made-in-Africa goods.”
That is, goods and services made locally with dominant African content in terms of raw materials and value addition.

“I have never been known or associated with such actions in the past. Regardless of what transpired prior to my expression of anger, I am sincerely sorry and plead that all men and women of good conscience should have the heart to forgive me. To err is human, to forgive is divine.
“To the Church of God everywhere in the world, I am sorry. As an Ambassador of Christ, much is expected of me.
“My family and religious upbringing do not give approval to such conduct and for this, as a leader, I seek forgiveness before God and all those who feel offended by my action.
“Indeed, this episode has taught me a very great lesson both as a private citizen and a public officer, particularly as a senator of the Federal Republic of Nigeria upon whom public confidence is bestowed.”

target=_blank>Warri Refinery Shutdown: How NNPC Reacts To 500 Angry Workers, Youths
Following the shutdown of the Warri Refining and Petrochemical Company, by many youths and about 500 support staff on Wednesday, Ndu Ughamadu, Group General Manager, Group Public Affairs Division, at the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation (NNPC), told Punch that there was no discrimination in how the recruitment process and staff regularization was being handled.
He, however, said he was unsure if the corporation had any prior agreement to convert the demonstrating casual staff to permanent staff.
“There’s no discrimination in the process. I am not aware if there was any agreement with them,” Ughamadu said on Wednesday.
Punch reports that the protesters had all entrances to the complex barred. They said the government owned subsidiary of the NNPC, gave them assurances that they would be upgraded from contract to full staff. Ughamadu also noted that the casuals had not been sidelined by the recruitment process.
“The casuals were also invited; but that aside, we have engaged them. We told them that after this exercise, there is another stage.
“If they didn’t fall into the first category, they may fall into the second category. That is what we are on. We don’t have casuals only in Warri refinery.
“We have casuals in all of our subsidiaries, including the headquarters and many of them applied, and they are undergoing interviews now. Jemi Mene-Ijegi, National Secretary of the Itsekiri National Youth Council, said the casuals were not included in the job conversations.
“Initially, we wrote a letter and they called us, excluding the casual staff, that the issue will be resolved. We told them to attend to the casual staff first. The second time, the same thing happened, which prompted the first protest,” Ijegi said.
Both the police and army were unable to dislodge the demonstrators even after pleas from officials of the refinery.
The Warri refinery is situated in Ekpan, Uvwie local government area of Delta State.

target=_blank>Lecturer Sues Otuoke University Vice-Chancellor Over Promotion Fraud
Professor Seth Jaja, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Otuoke
Professor Seth Jaja, Vice Chancellor, Federal University Otuoke
Dr. Etumudon Ndidi Asien, a lecturer at the Federal University Otuoke, Bayelsa State, has dragged the institution’s Vice Chancellor, Seth Accra Jaja, and two others to the National Industrial Court (NIC) over alleged victimisation and promotion fraud in the institution.
The lecturer from the Faculty of Management Science alleged that he was removed as the head of the Banking and Finance department and denied mandatory promotion in line with the results of institution review exercise.
Dr. Etumudon Ndidi Asien, in the suit numbered NICNYEN322019, also accused the Vice Chancellor of the institution of wrongful recruitment and promotion of two lecturers without due process and deliberately punishing him for his refusal to belong to the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU).
According to the claimant, by the virtue of the irregular appointments of the two lecturers, with alleged questionable characters, his professional growth have been negatively affected as they occupy positions that would have been occupied by him and that despite all actions and complaints, the defendants are still carrying out their acts of discrimination and illegality and if no remedial action is not taken, they will continue to impede his growth in the service.
He asked the court to issue an order that he has a constitutionally guaranteed right to decide whether to become a member of ASUU or not and cannot suffer discrimination by the institution and the vice chancellor.
He also prayed the court to issue a “declaration to the effect that the removal of the claimant as the head of department of Banking and Finance of the Faculty of the Management Sciences of the Institution on the ground that the claimant is not a member of the ASUU is a breach of claimant fundamental Human Right and is thus illegal, null and void”.
The presiding judge of the National Industrial Court, Justice Bashar. A. Alkali, after listening to the argument of the two counsels asked that they go for an out-of-court settlement.
The judge adjourned the hearing until October 9, adding that failure to settle the matter through alternative dispute will ensure commencement of hearing on the substantive suit.

E2%80%A6-part-ii target=_blank>Analysis: Dear Nigerians, In Case You Want To Travel To Germany… (PART II)
President Buhari in a handshake with German Chancellor Merkel
President Buhari in a handshake with German Chancellor Merkel
In case you are not convinced, here are a few other observations The 13,000 strong pride of nationalists brought persons previously not under the eagle-eye of the BFV into their fold. The BFV only finds them out when an act had been committed. Daniel Koehler records in research on ‘Recent trends in German right-wing violence’ that a 71-year old woman was convicted and given a nine-year sentence for two arson attacks committed in October 2016 and March 2017.
One of the attacks led to fatalities. Koehler writes that the BFV carried out an intelligence analysis on the background of 77 people who executed right-wing attacks. They discovered that the majority of the attacks were not done by those on their watch list. There were spontaneous acts of violence and intimidation sparked no doubt by the ‘climate of fear,’ created by those known 13,000. Your presence as a Nigerian in certain parts of Germany can spark a brain wave of murderous or threatening thoughts. Some of these persons that are unknown to the BFV have been found in the security fabric of the country.
In April and May 2017, two soldiers were arrested for planning attacks on high profile politicians who
are migrant friendly. Two names on the list prosecutors found are, Joachim Gauck, ex-President and Heiko Maas. On Friday, reports emerged that a right-wing group of 30 members, Nordkreuz, obtained a death list scrolled with names of left-wing politicians and pro-refugee targets from a police record. Then went about stockpiling arms, 200 body bags, and quicklime— to hasten decomposition. Nordkreuz has a neck and tie relationship with the German police and military. Intelligence sources went on to note that out of the 30 teammates of the right-wing terror cell, one was still employed in the special commando unit of the state office of criminal investigations. The group has been under observation by prosecutors since 2017. The raging radicalization in Germany though follows a straight causeway back to Merkel and the CDU’s determination to show the world that Germany is the fireplace for all in winter. Even historic war instigators, the USA, Russia, and the United Kingdom, did not take in as many refugees as Germany.
When the trains were offloading the brushwood on the rail tracks of Munich, log bearing nails and vipers were hidden among them. The German government did not sieve well. There were several attacks carried out by Islamic extremists. One which stood out though, was the rape, strangulation, and murder of Susanna Feldmann, by Ali Bashar, an asylum seeker from Northern Iraq. His application for citizenship had been rejected a year before the incident. Before killing 14-year old Susanna, Bashar successfully pushed and spat at a policewoman, rubbed a man at gunpoint and repeatedly raped an 11- year old girl without getting thrown into jail or deported. After the police identified him as the prime suspect, he was still able to procure papers, board a flight to Istanbul in Turkey and another to his family home in Iraq.
In 2018, Ashwaq, a Yazidi girl captured by Islamic State in 2013 and sold as a s** slave to Abu Humam, an IS fighter, found Humam again on the streets of Schwäbisch Gmünd in the Western German state of Baden-Württemberg. Ashwaq was brave enough to tell her story and run-off to a refugee camp in Northern Iraq after the police were unable to track down Humam. Other women who escaped a brutal life of raping and beating, found their captors among the refugees the CDU gave a new lease of life.
While a Nigerian Christian avoids Eastern Germany where foreigners are not wanted, tolerant Western Germany has the added spice of making you careful not to commit offences that make you a target of an Islamist extremist. So, where should a Nigerian not trod in Germany? Interestingly, this is not a ‘reconsider,’ ‘do not travel’ or ‘essential travel,’ advice. If it must be categorized, it would be in the level of ‘be aware,’ ‘for your information.’ It is not easy to die in Germany, as it is in Nigeria. The hatred towards Muslims, refugees, and Jews are not commensurate to the attacks. If you choose to live for any periods in the eastern states of Saxony— the birthplace of the Protestant church, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg, Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania or Thuringia, your stay could be a regrettable one. In 2014, when the German gates of love to all refugees began to creak open, there were 990 right-wing attacks in Germany according to government figures. At the height of the migrant surge in 2015, the figure climbed to 1,408. In 2016, when Turkey came to
Germany’s rescue and took on incoming refugee traffic, the German Ministry of Interior reported that there were 3,533 attacks on migrants and asylum hostels. As a result of these attacks, 560 people were injured, including 43 children.
Refugee organizations and volunteers suffered 217 attacks in the same year. In 2016 as well, a commissioned report released a year later, said there were 23,500 right-wing crimes; half of them were in the states that made up the former territory of Eastern Germany. IN 2017, VBRG, a group that provides counselling to victims of right-wing attacks, say they recorded 1,123 of such in 2017. That figure increased to 1,212 in 2018. Their report includes Berlin as one of the cities with a prevalence of attacks against Migrants, Muslims, and Jews. Studies agree that you are at the danger of being intimidated anywhere in Germany but you should be especially conscious or avoid the territories that made up East Germany, including the eastern paths of Berlin. Saxony should be given a wide berth. If you like a bit of sport, you might want to dare.
Since the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, whose duty it is to tell you how to travel, where not to go and how to get you out of trouble like the USA does with its Smart Travel Enrolment Programme (STEP), have felt it immaterial to do so, we thought to let you know that even the safest countries harbor some cultural opposition to immigrants.

E2%80%99ll-appoint-85-and-90-year-olds-ministers-bayo-oluwasanmi target=_blank>If I were President Buhari, I’ll Appoint 85 And 90-Year Olds As Ministers By Bayo Oluwasanmi
As humans, we are all agents of history, acting out our roles, moving or failing to move according to its tides. At this moment in our history, Nigerians feel the need and urgency for President Muhammadu Buhari Baba Slow Motion to move quickly and fill cabinet posts.
The most important instrument for any president to translate his vision into concrete goals and policies in the executive branch is the caliber of people he appoints as ministers. The president must delegate responsibilities to his cabinet members. How well consistently and effectively the executive branch functions, depends to a great extent on how wisely the president chooses and uses his cabinet.
For any president to achieve his vision, the basic criteria selection for his cabinet members should be excellence and competence. The men and women chosen by the president must have demonstrated by successful experience in fields related to capacities they are to serve.
One of the important judgment calls of a president is willingness to pick, and effectively use outstanding able subordinates. Cabinet members must know and understand presidential decisions. People President Buhari appointed as federal ministers in his first term, were a remarkable collection of individuals – unqualified, inexperienced, mediocres, and people with plain old ignorance. Till tomorrow, no one knows how well they performed. Their score cards are yet to be released by Aso Rock.
If I were President Buhari, my pick for ministers will reflect the administration’s priorities for Nigeria: to hell with quality and qualifications, to hell with ability, capacity, and capability, to hell with equal representation, to hell with fairness and justice!
I will appoint men and women who are between the ages 85 and 90 nearing departure lounge. People who are infirm, frail, and fragile like the octogenarian Nigerian Ambassador to the US, Ambassador Sylvanus Adiewere Nsofor who was born March 17, 1935 in Oguta, Imo State. I’ll appoint people who are deaf, dumb, and blind so the physically challenged will be fairly represented in my administration. I’ll appoint one of the Fulani herdsmen terrorists as minister of education. Shekau, the Boko Haram war lord will oversee safety and security of the nation, better still, he’ll serve as minister of defense.
My choice of finance minister will be Bukola Abiku Mesujamba Saraki with untarnished record in raiding and collapsing banks. My top candidate for agriculture ministry will be the head of women for Tradermoni. For works, housing, and transportation, I’ll ask Babalakin the notorious contractor who fled with billions of Naira meant for the construction of Lagos-Ibadan Expressway and the MM II. I believe he’ll do a fantastic job. For Chief of Staff, First Lady Aisha Buhari is the only one I trust who can hold the position. All the service chiefs, head of customs, immigration, aviation, SSS, NPF, CCT, ICPC, EFCC, CJ, NNPC and all other federal agencies that read like alphabetical soup, and all federal judges, will be from the north. Again, I trust only people from that area of the country. Now you have the idea of the type of people I’ll choose to head the rest ministries.
In short, consideration will be given to the following candidates as federal ministers:
Must be northerners with highest education of primary school attestation certificate. Must have been convicted for corruption, looting, stealing of public funds or be potentially indictable for such crimes. Must be computer illiterates. Must be empty headed. Must be allergic to creativity and innovation. Must be morons!
With these cabinet ministers, I believe Nigeria will be well positioned for the next level. For the first in 58 plus years, Nigerians will feel the impact of a government like never before. They will have a sense of belonging and be proud as Nigerians. Nigerians, you’re in good hands for the next four years… stay tuned!

Nigerian Man Ayoola Ajayi, Accused Of Murder Of US Student, Was Barred From Utah Campus -Police
Nigerian man, Ayoola Ajayi, arrested in the death of a United States of America college student whose burnt remains were found in his backyard was banned from the campus of Utah State University in 2012, according to newly-released documents.
The school took the step after Ayoola Ajayi’s student visa expired and he was arrested on suspicion of having stolen an iPad, a misdemeanour, according to university police reports.
He had also stopped attending class the year before but continued to sleep on residence hall couches and keep things in a janitor’s closet, according to police and university documents.
University officials barred him from campus in August 2012, and police also informed the Nigerian Embassy in US of Ajayi’s arrest.
Prison documents showed Ajayi is now a US citizen.
When arrested in 2012 by US police, Ajayi had a student visa that had already expired but had married a woman in Texas.
According to court records, the marriage ended in a divorce in January.
According to a news agency, Associated Press, US Immigration and Citizenship Services refused to provide information about when Ajayi obtained American citizenship, citing privacy protections.
Ajayi was allowed to enroll in classes again in 2015 after resolving his immigration status, said Utah State spokesman, Tim Vitale.
Separate police documents showed that he was also investigated on a rape allegation in 2014. No charges were filed in the rape case.
Ajayi, 31, is being held without bail on suspicion of aggravated murder, kidnapping and other charges in the death of 23-year-old Mackenzie Lueck.
On Tuesday, tpolice authorities said they had been granted an extension on filing formal charges until next week.
Lueck was a part-time senior at the University of Utah studying kinesiology and pre-nursing.
She was expected to graduate in 2020.
